Hello NOPErs... time to start the new working week. What a great way to start the week, with International Picnic Day. Now in wet and windy Melbourne our picnic will be held on the lounge room floor. We will be having a proper packed picnic just incase its dry... but there will be hotdogs in one thermos and hot chocolate in another and some cupcakes... winter picnic done. Those moments when I wish we had Yanky gun laws in Aus (Yep I had to ring my daddy at 1am on a Monday morning to come rescue me cos I was trapped in the kitchen by one of these fvckers on the roof.) Topic of the Day: (Just for @Wee fluffy me ) .... its back CAKES8 points

Congratulations @Ren smoke free for 3 months!! Well done Ren, this is a great start to your quite. You should be so proud of yourself because despite what life and your own body have thrown at you over the past few weeks you have been smoke free for 3 months. 3 months is 1/4 of the way, yep 25%, to the Lido Deck and you first year of freedom. I'm sure you are seeing some benefits from your quit by now so hold onto the thoughts of those. Keep up you fantastic work and celebrate today. Don't forget a reward, rewards are important, and fun.4 points

On my last visit to the doctor I of course get asked "Do you smoke" and even though I've told them several times over the past two years that I had quit, they took no official notice, not even a note in my file saying that I was trying to quit. This time I was asked and answered "Just over two years quit now". I guess this was the magic number because I saw her note in my record "former smoker". Yay? I guess? Truthfully I expected more fanfare at the beginning of my quit when I proudly told them I was 2 months quit (especially from a doctor who has been telling me for years I shouldn't smoke), but I guess they were expecting a fail. I showed them though!3 points

Back in the day, 1984 was the first album I bought with my own money. Thirty-four years later, I still enjoy cranking this song up...3 points

Welcome aboard Zenith. Congratulations on making a great choice. Feelings of frustration. Mood swings. Both quite normal during the early part of the process. The rough bits of the quit experienced during the early days are temporary and fleeting. The freedom and sense of satisfaction gained by quitting successfully are permanent. You've made the right choice and committed to it. There's no going back now.2 points

Yes, you would think the medical community would take note when somebody quits one of the most deadly addictions on earth? Like, maybe next time you go they say; "So Sam! How that quit smoking thing going?" You know. Keep you accountable and what not. Show a little interest/support?2 points
