  11. Well it finally happen, I got 25 foot by 60 foot = 1650sf of concrete for the small sum of $7500.00. Now my mom can take a short walk to the mail box or sit outside and listen to the radio. I asked about some astro turf for the other half of the yard and my contractor said $8000.00 ! YIKES how can Grassy carpet cost some freaking much, This is basically recycle water bottles with some green die added. So starts the search, I am determined not to have grass or some BS desert land scape. I want to be able to use it for Badmittent, mini golf or crocket. Pretty right.

  18. Hello you beautiful nicotine free creatures ! Thank you for the celebratory thread. It means a lot, that's for true. I love y'all ! This was the first year I nearly forgot the date. Probably because I haven't been looking in on QTrain. Smoking ? I haven't considered it seriously for these Eight years. The first year was a slog but, I never doubted my commitment to myself, I Quit Smoking. I will never smoke again. I say this with vigilant confidence and an understanding of the nature of addiction. I end and greet each day, grateful for being nicotine free. Every day, twice a day. This is one way my vigilance manifests. Darling Newbies, Educate yourselves ! Don't be lazy about this. Research how nicotine affects the brain to comprehend what you are experiencing. Sure, the feel-good touchy-feelie stuff support is great but without grounded information about nicotine addiction it won't help you fully understand your addiction. And you should understand your addiction. It is Who You Are. Watch Joel Spitzer's videos. Joel's library is comprehensive and accessible. Use this gift ! Check out my Topics and Blogs. There are some gems hidden therein. I spent a lot of years here and love seeing the information travel to new eyes. Love to everybody. Thank y'all for your work. Sazerac's all around, and a bowl of Legendary Gumbo. It is almost getting cool enough to start on my stocks. S

  29. G’day South East Queensland has cool dry winters. Our rain arrives in spring and summer and usually as a storm. Today I arrived home to find 25mm or an inch in the gauge. My wife was in the next suburb over and they coped a pasting with 60mm or 2 and 1/2 inches of rain and pea sized hail. The air port just a bit further I’ve got a whopping 105 mm of rain that’s a tat over 4 inches. They also had a tornado touch down but nothing damaged. More to come over today and looks like the next week. Lightning is starting now on the horizon so it will be here in the next hour for sure. Lightning over Brisbane last night

  33. to: QTrain re: first days nicotine Free In your First Few Days, while the Nicotine left your body, what helped you ? For me, it was Sleep (assisted with over the counter sleep medication or whisky). Ice Water. Satsumas, Citrus. Deep, deep breaths. Long 'singing' showers. (If I had known about y'all, I guarantee I would have been here) Edited to avoid controversy as to method of quitting smoking. I just want to know what helped you while nicotine left your body.

  34. Allen Carr audible helped me. Exercise, however much you can do can 'fill the void.' Repeating to myself that smoking was just flat off the table, to avoid inner debate.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
