  7. I noticed that drivers got worse once cell phone became popular. Too many people yapping on the phone and not paying attention. Didn't notice anything different when I quit smoking.

  14. Hey guys! Thank you all very much for your nonstop support. You all have had a hand in this! It has been an extremely rewarding and eye opening experience so far. I live in a different world now. I know that being sad or nervous or angry sometimes is perfectly natural. Choosing to ignore the cause and to only treat the symptom is lazy, irresponsible, and meaningless. Things that make you feel bad don't go away on their own, even if you don't feel them for a while. You always have a choice, whatever you do. You should make good ones. By the way, I still haven't celebrated properly. Been very busy with work recently. But I'll keep you posted on any developments Keep those quits people! Keep respecting yourselves! And thank you so much!

  18. thank you everyone for the support. Yes it's true if i was going to light up it probably would've been friday night or saturday morning. I did go the whole night with no sleep on friday. I did see the doc and minister today. Both went well. My minister nailed right on when she said probably the thing that bothers me the most without realizing it was...There was nothing I could do. I wanted to move him out of the way but there was nothing I could do. Helpless and not in control which is completely against human nature. I will not light up I just wont do it. Thank you all again for your support in means a lot !!

  19. Life is so complicated. I thought today was Thursday but it's Wednesday. I took off work because I had something to do on Thursday. Well I screwed that all up. So I guess I will just lay around in the Bat Cave all day. .... Maybe I should have put this on the F... it Thread.

  21. @johnny5 Thank you!!! I'm half way through Day 2 now. The headache which started last night is still there. I had a lot of juice, plenty of water and some buttermilk. However, the headache persists. Its a dull pain, not severe but its very annoying. @Linda Thomas Thank you

  25. Quit day is 04/04. I have cut down, I was on 40 plus a day. Part of the reason. Is my teeth! I've had a lot of problems dental wise. Then the dentist said he likes smokers as the damage caused to teeth keeps him employed. Was news to me but it seems it's true. I don't know why I never thought of it. Anyhow thanks for the support. It will help. I've decided not to wait but to start my quit tomorrow. Why wait?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
