  1. Hi Everyone! I wish I had better news but after 3 years free I slipped this past month. At first it was one here and there and now it is a full fledged problem. I'm here to get back on track and be free again. This wonderful community helped me the first time around and I am back for help again. I will be committing to NOPE tomorrow and hope to get past this terrible lapse in judgement. ❤

  6. Welcome back Morgan! Wow a three year quit. I know a few here have lost long quits. I would have thought by three years you'd be free? I guess we never really will be. Do you might sharing how that happened? Might help some of us here. Anyway, nice to meet you!

  7. Good morning fellow NOPErs....so today I need to shout out a huge thank you to our Sepo mates because today is there National Eat Your Vegetables Day...and I'm claiming it... I live in a house full of carnivores, tonight it's a full on veggie fest....there will be all my faves, yep even peas.....and because it's Eat Ya Veggies Day they can just sick it up....fun veggie fact, onions have more sugar than strawberries....but I digress, lots of veg make an awesome quit snack...carrot sticks people, they give you something to chew during a crave and their high sugar content helps with those wacky blood sugar levels during the early days. And everyone knows ya can't beat a root so why not chuck a couple if beetroots in the oven to roast up and snack on, if you slice em thin, give them a squirt with oil and a sprinkle of salt then bake until crisp...perfect chips (crisps for the Britskis) Smokes = NOPE Veggies = yeah!

  8. Good morning fellow NOPErs and Happy Father's Day to all our dad's living in the UK, Canada, India, the Americas and the USA.....so basically all our dad's except Chris, Fab and any Kiwis, they have to wait for September. So any dad's out there lurking, in that limbo between wanting to quit and actually quitting why not celebrate Father's Day 2019 by giving yourself, your kids and your grandkids the greatest gift you can and say NOPE...not one puff every again. NOPE....cos my Dad loves that I now don't.

  14. Welcome back, Morgan ! Unfortunately, addiction is forever and can only be mitigated by a commitment to NOPE Not One Puff Ever. Never Ever Forever. Tell your story, it will help others and let us hear how your quit is progressing. We are on your side. s

  15. Hi Morgan and im sorry to read about the relapse. I also have blown a long quit and you acted quicker than i did at quitting again avoiding a big mistake i made by waiting over 2 years to try and re quit. I lost direction and had got hit with some bad news and went back to an old habit. Just get your mindset back, search for your old posts and re read your own words. Deep breathes

  18. Welcome back Morgan, sorry you lost your quit but hopefully since it was such a short relapse the withdrawal will be easier. I have a lot of respect for anyone who is able to quit with a smoking spouse at home. I don't think I could do that.....

  19. Bump for newbies. Rewards are an essential component of a successful quit. The sooner you train your brain to accept TRUE rewards and reject poisonous addiction the better you will feel.

  22. Ok so what am i missing here. They have banned all cigarette commercials on tv right. Oops of course thats right .But now they are pushing those damn vaps and electronic cigs on tv. Now they sell it as the new stage of smoking. WTF it should be listed as the new way to commit suicide. So now i got to wonder who is making the money on these wink wink. As if i would need to research that lol. Its the tabaco company of course. If they werent their lobbiest would have put the kibosh on it a long time ago. They know that it will lead to more and more people smoking the new cool way . My god what has this world come to.

  23. If its used as a step down, OK. But at six months he's getting his nicotine fix and still addicted to it . Electronic Nicotine Delivery Devices (ENDD) I don't look down on people who use this but its a band aide IMO They are advertising this as a way to quit ciggs, sales of juul have been veery good for the co so people are buying into it Educate them on nicotine addiction and they make their own choice

  25. I am on the fence on this one. I am not for vaping, however if it is a step in the right direction for smokers to quit then I can see the good. However, I am cannot see vaping as a replacement to cigarettes -- just replacing the form of addiction. Vaping my not have the negative consequences as cigarettes but the jury is still out on this, but it does not replace the addiction unless the person is committed to quitting smoking. I also am not for the advertising showing it as an alternative to cigarettes -- that needs more review and attention especially to how this is viewed by minors.

  28. Waiting for the kid to wake up and go grocery shopping...and join me at Bunnings for lunch, yep Gun killed the garden snake...again....not sure if the kid trained him to do it to guarantee regular Bunnings Sausages or if he really thinks he is protecting us from its evilness.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
