Goodmorning fellow NOPErs... and a happy Labor Day to the USA and happy 117th birthday to the Aussie Flag (see even the Aussie flag and google have happy birthdays in September). Labor day is a day to celebrate the achievements of those workers who came before us and who we can thank for the 8 hour day and the 40 hour week... occupational health and safety, respectable pay rates, penalty rates... did you know, the first place in the world to grant workers the 8 hour work day and to mandate 1 day off a week was Victoria... and we did it in 1856... have a great long weekend end (ours is in March). NOPE ... because I respect myself too much to intentionally fill my body with poison.5 points

Good morning fellow NOPErs.... and welcome to Father's Day. Hope all our dad's and grandad's (not just the Aussie ones) have a fantastic day today. I'm off for a drive to the country with my dad and the kid to visit my baby sister at her bakery where we will do lunch or arvo tea or something. I gave my dad the best father's day gift 9 months ago when I quit... doesn't mean he doesn't have a nice collection of fancy beer sitting in my fridge to be handed over later today. So... for (Australian) Father's Day I say ..... NOPE ... not on Sundays or Father's Day5 points

Congratulations @Wren18 for being 8 months smoke free! What a great quit you have happening and well done on being 2/3rds of the way to the first year of freedom. Thanks for all the support you offer to the rest of us in the quit threads, especially the newbies and following them up it is such a great way to strengthen your own quit. So make sure you do something special to reward all your efforts and achievements now you have reached your 8 month milestone.4 points

Hey guys! Thanks a lot for the encouragement! Sorry I haven't checked quittrain.com, I've been really busy lately! But I have been "NOPE"ing in my head! :D I've stopped drinking hard liquor as well (two months now)! No more blurry weekends and disabling hangovers! So I've had A LOT of free time on my hands, which has made it possible for me to do a lot of reading (much more productive that drinking and smoking!). I will need to start working out to burn off the ten pounds that I've put on though ? Hope you all stay healthy and hopeful and productive! Your support has been invaluable!4 points

Congratulations @Tyme2B for being 2 months smoke free! Well done for being 2 months smoke free... I think this is one the best 2 month celebrations I have seen during my time on the quit train. Your journey has been bumpy, and you've popped off the train a few times but this time you are 2 months smoke free, your recovering from your medical scare and you are giving yourself the gift of a smoke free life. I am so proud and happy for you. So make sure you reward yourself for the hard work and for never giving up on giving up.... if anyone deserves a 2 month celebration its you. Woohoo!3 points
