  4. Greetings NOPErs.... today I put my hand into the bag of 25 September and there were 11 special days in there... 11... this is just getting ridiculous... so while we all love those cuddly little sex fiend stoners the Koala (no not a bear) and hope they don't become extinct, today is One Hit Wonder day... that's right those songs that shot to #1 and were the first and last thing we heard from the artists that charted. So as I celebrate another 24hours of freedom from nicotine I'll also celebrate all my favourite one hit wonders. NOPE .... Not One Puff Ever... not today, not tomorrow, not ever, forever. TOPIC of the Day: One Hit Wonders

  5. Well, had my evaluation for the cardio rehab program today....all went well! Dr Lai was very nice and we went over the whole process from where the monitors are stored, how to put the sensors on and where they go (I will be monitored and have my blood pressure checked continuously while exercising), the equipment that I will be using...treadmill, stair stepper, bicycle and rowing machines...along with weights. On Friday, will be going over how to actually use this equipment and giving it all a test run so he can see what kind of shape I am in and figure out my benchmarks. He also explained that I will be learning how to train my muscle groups to maximize oxygen use which will lessen any strain on the heart and increase my endurance! I am so looking forward to getting started in this program!! Hope to make some new friends along the way! ?

  6. Really has been a great day! Used to not be able to enjoy lunch with a friend this way....stressed figuring out how to end it so i could smoke. And even when she had to part early I didn't run off to smoke...I walked the square and bought some new tea at a little shop. Then back to work without hosing myself off with body spray and inhaling mints! I quit before but it was never this awesome!!

  13. Congratulations @Giveintowin for being smoke free for 11 months! Well done GITW, you are almost at that coveted first year mark. Despite the extra hurdle and stress put in your way over the past few months you have KTQ like a true champ. So celebrate your 11th month of freedom in style, give yourself a nice fancy reward for being such an awesome quitter. Oh and don't forget to pack your bags, that boat will be arriving at Circular Quay to set sail with you on the Lido Deck in 30 days time.

  20. Nope, sounds weird to me tho, like how they used to promote phenphen or cocaine. I just use liquid B vitimins in the afternoon (after naptime) for a boost. It doesn't keep me jittery like coffee does. Just do research and talk to your dr. Congrats on KTQ Kdad?

Yes well I am an addict too.... a few someone's who shall not be named pulled the same line on me... then it was what level are you on, oh you haven't caught me yet... so despite only having the stupid thing for 10 day I am now on level 401.... but don't worry I'll catch you b1tches, just you watch.....wots worse is when I first started playing it I hated the stupid panda that speaks in a French Accent... wot the fark is that about.... Panda's are from China... it should have a Chinese accident.... now I live for a cest bon or even better a cest magnifique.... stupid game. Confession 2: I think we need a CJA thread to deal with out new addiction.

  23. Oh, @jillar, it starts out all nice and easy and then it all becomes so frustrating with these games!! I went through this with Candy Crush on Facebook!!! I will not even mention my years of playing Farmville!! I would set aside an hour a night to play....next thing you know.....it's midnight and I am still playing trying to get to next level cuz i am coming so close...lol. Played that for 2 years then just had to quit cold turkey....it was taking over my life!!! Now I just stick to my game of Solitaire (which of course has several variations (Crown, Pyramid, etc.) and yikes, they just added levels....I don't pay attention to that stuff! Yet! ?

  26. Bigfoot- got your ?? going back after Thanksgiving for a week. Definitely high on list. Partytown but lots of smokers. Hard to believe people older than me smoking. Thought only dumb kids smoked anymore. Felt like I was the last smoker my age.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
