  1. What Colleen said. Smoking will only make things worse hun. I know how frustrating this must be for you, but just take it easy and rest up. Hopefully you'll feel better in no time! Remember, smoking fixes nothing. Big hugs.
  2. Awesome job Soozie! :) Hell Week is done and over with. Good riddance! Congrats on your quit -- you're doing a fantastic job. WTG and KTQ!
  3. Smoking's gross, so no thanks! NOPE. :D
  4. Congrats on your quit and on your engagement. :D Nice to hear from you!
  5. Woohoo, good job! You're rocking this Evelyn. :)
  6. Oh thank goodness! Glad to hear she's okay Babs. :) Sorry I'm late (as usual). Sounds like you had quite the day babysitting, lol.
  7. Tracey, we will miss you! But have a wonderful holiday. :) I have no doubt in my mind that you will stay committed to your quit. Enjoy yourself! Take lots of pictures and let us know how it goes.

    Worry

    Mine too. Aren't they fun?
  9. A valid first world problem! I have an anxiety attack when my MIL comes for dinner, lol. My boyfriend drank most of the coffee this morning. FWP!
  10. Definitely simple and not easy at first, but like everyone has said, it does get easier in time. :) I know you've heard this lots, but it's true. Once you get past all the awkwardness of first quitting, things get much easier. Action's right -- you will get to a point where you forget you even smoked. It will be a distant memory. That feeling is worth all the struggling in the beginning. :)
  11. Congrats to the Spring 2014 quitters. :)

    Wedding

How exciting Gem! Definitely get pictures. :D I am finding wedding planning to be stressful but fun!
  13. 60 minutes walking. 60+ minutes cleaning (you'd be surprised how many calories you burn!) Upper body toning for 9(ish) minutes. Ab workout for 10(ish) minutes. Jump rope for 5. That's all I can manage. MQ, you were right. Definitely nothing like when we were kids. But I did pretty good considering. I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea today. I really need to work on bettering myself. I'm so terrified of sleeping now. I'm thinking my breathing while sleeping has gotten better since March. 3 (that's when my sleep study was), but I'm still scared about the whole thing. If anyone has any workouts that would help shed a lot of weight, please let me know. I don't have a lot of equipment nor do I have a gym membership, so any advice would be appreciated.

  15. This picture messes with my eyes, lol.
  16. Congrats on your retirement! My dad was supposed to retire ages ago, but he can't sit still so he went back. However, they've laid him off, so he has no choice. I think it's just a matter of finding some new hobbies. I'm sitting at home right now, waiting to start a new path in life. Sometimes I go crazy sitting around, but I have developed a love for new things. They keep me occupied. :)
  17. Same here! Trish, you rock. :)

    Worry

    I worry about worrying.
  19. Me too. I never wait long enough and then I screw up my nails. Cool! I'm going to start using that line more often.
  20. 2 weeks?! Wow. I'm going to have to look into this. Wait, I think I have a Shellac polish in orange. I do love it! It's great how long it lasts.
  21. I would love if that was an actual website, lol.
  22. :) I like neon orange. I have a few of those. This is a better picture of my current nails. The other one made them look like a light pink. They are definitely not light!
  23. I love reds, pinks, and oranges Amy. This is my current colour. I'm a little disappointed it's already chipped, but that's because I was cutting veggies yesterday and accidentally scraped the blade against my finger. No cuts thankfully, but I ended up chipping my nail polish. Hmph.
  24. Thanks! I seem to be getting there. :) If I'm not buying books, I'm buying nail polish! I should take a picture of my book cases, lol.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
