  1. Sue, it's great to hear from you. :) Spoil yourself! You definitely deserve it after almost two weeks of no smoking. I'm proud of you and you seem very confident in your quit, which is fantastic to hear!
  2. Ross, make-up is ridiculously expensive. But good make-up is totally worth it. I spent $20 on eyeliner recently and that was store-brand eyeliner!
  3. Yes, pictures would be lovely! Congrats. :) Bet it looks nice.
  4. I have a pretty solid quit, but honestly, sometimes the NicoDemon comes creeping back. He begs, he pleads, but I quickly shut him up. Good on you for doing the same Christa! :) It only goes to show how strong your commitment to your quit really is.
  5. Yay for judgemental bridal consultations. Those 4 pounds I've lost recently don't seem so great anymore.

Agreed Sharon. Wedding dresses are too expensive for that crap! She needed a refresher course on customer service.

      Aww, thanks Ross! :)

  7. Commitment and a desire to quit. If you want to, you can. If you believe you will fail, you probably will. Believe in your quit and protect it with all your might, regardless of what happens.
  8. No one is denied, even if they haven't quit yet and are just thinking of quitting. :) I have read other forums where they require you to have already quit. That's why I love this place!
  9. Down a few pounds already! Yay for good diet and more exercise. :D

Thanks everyone! :) Sharon, tell Lee I said congrats! That's fantastic. Jackie, don't worry... you'll get back on track eventually. :) I stopped tracking my food and stuff for a while because the scales weren't budging, but I'm back at it and more determined than ever this time.

  17. Very true. Nicely put Jonny
  18. Me too! I also have difficulties reaching my kitchen cupboards. I think I'm considered "average" height at 5'4", but I'm still pretty short!
  19. I'm in! :) I never make plans, lol.
  20. Walked for about 90 minutes so far today.
  21. Nice! :D
  22. I'm a sufferer of migraines. Up until about a week ago, I hadn't had a migraine in months. I used to get them at least once a month, sometimes more. I never noticed it until now, but maybe it is because I quit smoking! Huh, very cool. I think I'll remain smoke-free then because migraines are terrible!
  23. I was just thinking the same thing, haha. Great minds think alike? :)
  24. I would have snatched him up, no problem! He is so cute.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
