  1. Amy, you know you have us regardless of what happens! We need to know you're doing okay. Even if you're not, we're here to help. Miss you! Please update us ASAP. :)
  2. I am on my phone, so some of my typing may be off. Sorry in advance! We are human, and relapses can happen. This is a very difficult addiction to kick. Relapsing itself sucks, but it doesn't matter. What matters is how you respond and deal with a relapse. Way before the QT, I joined the other forum under a completely different user name. I relapsed on my 8th day quit and didn't return to the other place a few years later because I was too ashamed and felt like a failure. I was back to smoking just as much as before in no time. I hated that I was that addicted. I don't necessarily regret the relapse because I learned from it. Took me awhile to figure things out, but I eventually got there. I do regret not returning to the forum. I was so embarrassed, but I realize now that it happens and the best thing you can do is talk about it. Sure, relapsing is disappointing, but it certainly is not a crime. I think most of us have been there.

    Game *The Food Game*

    Eclairs.
  4. Like a boss Jenny! ;) I met my BF online on a dating site (ugh). My cousin made an account for me without my permission and he started messaging me. For a while, I ignored him because he was skinny and I'm not exactly a toothpick, lol. Eventually I gave in and responded to him. We agreed to meet. The rest is history. :)
  5. I don't really understand what's going on, but...
  6. Cute! Very serious.
  7. I have white eyelashes on one eye.
  8. Hey Laura: Please come back tomorrow after you've gotten some rest. Don't beat yourself up over this. It's not worth it! Besides, you're human -- you are allowed to make mistakes. Tomorrow is a new day. We'll be here for you, no matter what.
  9. Wow, sounds like me... I can't stand when someone whistles or hums. The noise drives me absolutely nuts. Also, I wish I could solve a Rubik's Cube.
  10. My last one for the night, I swear:
  11. It's 4:40 a.m. and I'm lip syncing to Bohemian Rhapsody... I shouldn't have napped last night! Now I'll never sleep.

    Hangover

Getting older sucks. :( My one knee sounds like Rice Krispies whenever I do squats or bend low. Snap, crackle, pop! I remember when I used to drink alcohol as if it was water and would be completely fine in the morning. Now I look like this:
  13. Lovely way of putting it LB. :) Any time I think about smoking, I think about having to start over again. I'm damn near two years quit, so this is not an option for me. That ship has long ago sunk! No thanks. NOPE NOPE NOPE!
  14. This is me! Craving: "Hey Lea..." Me: "Zip it!"
  15. Woohoo, great job Princess Paula! 9 months is amazing. :) WTG and KTQ! :D
  16. 700 days?! Fantastic! Good job Jenny. :) Very proud of you!
  17. Awesome post Markus! :) It's a hard road, but definitely worth it in the end.
  18. No smoking for me today. That is not an option. NOPE!

    Hangover

:D Glad you had a great time! Hangovers are the worst. :( I feel like they are getting worse the older I get. Greasy food is a great idea, lol.
  20. Woo, good job Aine! I loved how you kicked butt in this situation and didn't let yourself stray from your quit. I can just imagine how boring that meeting was. I'm yawning thinking about it!
  21. Hey Laura! Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you're doing well. :) The 3rd done is hard for a lot of people. I actually felt like I had the flu on the 3rd day! But you did it and that's all that counts. :) Good for you! Tracey's right. Try not to get too drunk and leave if it gets too rough. Drinking tends to lead to heavy smoking and you don't need to be around that at the moment! You're doing fantastic -- keep up the great work. :D

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
