  1. Good choice Jimmy. I love Heart! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pMM4iwC-ag
  2. Jackie, I felt the same way. I would tell people I quit smoking and they'd kind of laugh at me and mutter "Yeah right" or "How long is it going to last this time Leanna?' Yeah, real supportive they were, lol. But I proved them wrong and so did you LB! You ARE a non-smoker and you definitely proved that by saying no to any sort of temptation. I am very proud of you. I believe you have no intentions of smoking again, therefore you have quit and are no longer "trying." Virtual High 5!
  3. I love this LB! You are a very talented writer. :) Thank you for sharing.
  4. Evelyn, you're doing great. :) Keep up the attitude; keep telling yourself you are quit! Like Amy said, ramble as often as you want/need to. If it helps, why not?

    Pet Pics!

Oh, I want to so badly! He looks like such a sweetheart. Money is a little tight right now and my boyfriend doesn't think we can afford him just yet. He would cost us about $200, but that includes all of his shots and what not. I am trying to convince him this is our guy! I think I'm going to have to drag him to the humane society so he can see Milo up close. Once he sees him, I'm sure he will be sold. If we're too late though, I'll keep looking. We're definitely going to adopt... I just don't know when.

Aww Gem, so precious! I love orange and white tabbies.
  7. Yup, can't wait to see her posting again. :)
  8. Lmao, my older brother's name is Allen. Last summer, my dad fell off a roof and really messed up his back. Whenever he needed something like water, he'd yell for my brother... "Allen! Allen! AL!"
  9. Sounds like you had a glorious day Jackie! :) I am so very happy you didn't have any annoying triggers/cravings. Life is really beautiful without the cigarette, eh? You don't miss out on so much.
  10. Right on MQ! Good call. :)
  11. So very proud and happy Tracey! You are rocking this by facing your triggers and not giving in. You know what's more important in life!
  12. Exactly what Rain said. :)
  13. Sad and so very scary. "Preventative deaths" is quite a powerful statement. I wish more people would realize how beneficial quitting is.
  14. Couldn't agree with you more Julie. NOPE!
  15. Brunch (since my BF and I won't be cooking tonight): Chicken fajita with chicken (obviously), sauted onions/bell peppers, homemade guacamole," bacon bits, salsa, snow peas, tomatoes, cheese. Not exactly healthy, but definitely delicious!
  16. This is fantastic. Thanks for sharing EB!
  17. Woohoo, congrats on your 5 months Joe! What a feat. :) Excellent job!
  18. Lovely LB. Thanks for sharing. :)
  19. This is a cool idea! Very nice LB. :) Like you said, if someone is serious about quitting, why not? This will only confirm someone's desire! Love it.
  20. Pretty much everything we did as smokers, we associated it with smoking. It's just another association you have yet to break. Like others have mentioned, try maybe munching on something? As soon as your brain realizes you've changed your routine, you will stop associating the activity with smoking. :)
  21. Smoking is not an option today, thanks! NOPE!
  22. I don't know. The groom job doesn't look horrible to me. I'm sure he's cute no matter what. :) Besides, the more you do it, the better you'll get!
  23. My contribution to Easter dinner tonight. Sorry the picture is so large!
  24. Sucks for them, but good for you! A kid-free home for the night. :D How nice! (I really do hope your in-laws feel better soon though)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
