  1. Of course I'm late, lol. Always am. Soozie, I'm so happy you didn't smoke! You should be too. It takes a lot for folks early on in their quit to say NOPE and stick with it. Now that you're past most of the physical withdrawals, it's all mental. The junkie in you will tell you how you can quit later, or how one or two won't hurt. Be proud that you didn't listen to that crap! Ultimately, there's no benefits to smoking. It's all lies.
  2. Hey DJ! Welcome. :D Thanks for sharing your story and congrats on your quit. :)

  11. Hahaha, yeah, people are generally confused about the choice of user name. I hear my friends say, "I thought your user name said Anal..." Oy vey!
  12. Hey Carly! Welcome. :) Wow, 7.5 months after 45 years? That's incredible! You are an inspiration. :) Glad to have you here and am looking forward to your posts.

  15. Oh yeah, I suppose I should actually introduce myself, eh? For those of you who don't know me (which is probably lots since I kind of laid low on QSMB): My name's Leanna (or Annael backwards). I'm 26 from Ontario, Canada. I started smoking when I was 20, I think. I was smoking between a half a pack/pack a day, sometimes more if I was around other smokers. In August 2012 after battling some throat thing, I decided to quit. Yup, cold turkey. I started a new job and was in training, so there was very little stress. It also kept my mind occupied so I wasn't a raging lunatic all the time. :) This is my forever quit and I'm very happy I've made it.
  16. Welcome Tiffany. :) Good to see you again!
  17. Hi everyone, Just wanted to say a quick hello. :) I'm glad for the change of scenery. :D

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
