  1. It doesn't have to be a snowman.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntRSopUllV4
  2. My favourite excuse I used to use was, "It's just not the right time to quit smoking. So much stress right now!" Hell, if I had ultimately listened to that excuse, I never would have quit!
  3. No more shame. I used to feel SO embarrassed that I smoked. There were people in my life who I hid it from on the daily. Glad I no longer have to hide anything. Also, I was an idiot... they knew I smoked all along, or at least had suspicions that I did. They could smell it on my clothes and breath!
  4. I pledge to stay here for at least my 2-year anniversary and have no plans of leaving. I have "quit" so many times in the past without a good support system and always relapsed. A support system is key for a successful quit. I couldn't have done it without you guys!
  5. Proud of you! 3 days is a big feat. :)
  6. Oooh, I love that purse! Good choice. :D Looks beautiful there! When do you go? I wish for my headache to go away. :(
  7. Hey Evelyn, Sorry I'm late! I'm very happy you triumphed through it. I don't know when you lost your mom, but I know what that heartbreak feels like. I felt so empty and alone inside. I didn't smoke and you won't either, as long as you have faith in yourself. You can this hun. It's a battle, but you are so strong to have this desire to stay quit right now. You are doing the best you can; feel proud for every minute, every hour you go without smoking. You're doing it! I think it was Action who said this, but you have us and I'm so happy you reached out to us. That's what we're here for. We can identify what you're going through because we've all been there. I can 100% guarantee to you that it gets better. You just have to hold onto your quit tightly, grit your teeth, and get through the cravings. We believe in you!
  8. I wish for a new purse
  9. I love Miranda. She's so feisty!
  10. Donna was the best! Now I want to watch the David Tennant episodes, lol.

    Only one here

3:39 a.m. here. I should be in bed, but alas. I slept from midnight to 1:45, but something woke me up.
  12. Oh Donna. She was hilarious! The companions are hit and miss for me. Rose was okay, Martha was ugh, Donna was my favourite. I liked Amy and Rory quite a bit as well. I think Rory more so than Amy to be honest!
  13. I will have to try it sometime. :)
  14. No smoking for me today, thanks! NOPE. :D
  15. Oooh, I love this thread! I'm getting married in March 2015 and am wanting to do lots of DIY projects. If anyone has any ideas, please share!
  16. Sounds delicious Gemzee!
  17. I find it very rewarding that I don't have to load my food up with salt and ketchup anymore to enjoy it. ;)
  18. I haven't been treating myself much lately, but I have spent my otherwise wasted money on treats in the past. New clothes, new shoes, whatever. It's definitely good to reward yourself and give yourself a pat on the back for doing such an amazing job!
  19. Congrats Doreen! 8 months is huge. :)
  20. I know I'm late, but congrats on your two months LB! Awesome feat. :) Keep up the great work -- you've got this. :D
  21. Congrats on 6 months MQ! You should be very proud. :)
  22. 9 months? Go Nancy! Congrats. :)
  23. I love thunderstorms as well! Sounds like a good night, hehe. :)

Agreed MQ. 50... wow. I have been watching his stuff for years. He seemed like a sweetheart. Mickey Rooney passed away as well.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
