  1. My favourite line that I used a lot was: "Well, if I die, I'll die happy." WTF? Man... what a dumb thing to think!

  3. I'll do it. :) Great idea!
  4. Agreed! NOPE for me today, tomorrow, etc.
  5. Incredible! That'll make the fire REALLY big. :)
  6. When I talk about QT, I usually start with: "You know the quit smoking forum I'm on?..." I'm actually thinking about buying a new laptop and how exciting that is, haha. I haven't bought a new one since 2007.
  7. Wow, 9 months! That's fantastic JLP. Congrats. :) WTG and KTQ!
  8. Cleaned my entire apartment and used my jump rope. I'm getting better!
  9. I think it's an oldies kind of night for me.

    Good-Bye

I don't have any plans of leaving any time soon. I may have considered doing so over at the other place, but not here. I feel so comfortable here. :)
  12. Absolutely! I hate smoking. Never, ever will I put my body through that again.
  13. Ah yes, the cough. Amazing what we put our bodies through, eh?
  14. Tossing in my 7414 cigarettes as well! So sorry to all those who have lost someone to this terrible addiction.
  15. Lynn, I am sad to see you go, but am also understanding. If you feel it is your time to go, go and live your smoke-free life. You will be missed and I look forward to hearing from you from time to time. Take care. Thank you for the help you have provided to others.

    Good-Bye

I feel the same way Jenny. It's hard when someone leaves. :( I feel very attached to the folks here and am always sad when someone moves on. I know that's the order of a forum (and life in general), but still doesn't stop me from being sad!
  17.   What a mess that would be!
  18. Oh those sideburns:
  19. Couldn't agree more. :)
  20. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Paul. That's incredibly sad; my heart breaks for you, his family, and friends. Sending hugs your way.
  21. Jackie, this is a great post. Thank you for sharing it again. You know, you're right. I'm deathly scared of death. The idea makes me so anxious. However, cigarettes had more of a pull on me than death did a few years ago. That's sad and it shows you how crazy of an addiction this is. I would tell myself, "Well, if I die, at least I'll die happy." I don't even know WTF that means anymore, considering I'm much more happier and full of life than I was as a smoker. I'm glad I woke up and stopped toying with my life. I know death is inevitable, but at least by quitting, I'm not increasing my chances of a premature one. To those who are considering quitting, smoking CAN lead to an early death. Don't blind yourself with the thought that it won't happen to you. Stop messing around with your health and quit before it's too late. Unfortunately, a lot of illnesses related to smoking are irreversible.
  22. No smoking for me, thanks! NOPE.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
