  6. Hello QT People, Gave away my quit about two weeks ago. One of the top two most unskillful choices of my life. The other one being the first quit I let go. Taking it back at the end of today. Hoping I make it. Feeling wobbly already, yet doing all I can to set up for success. Hoping to ride the rails with you all and STICK CLOSER and contribute more. I really loved the freedom. I look forward to being free again shortly. thanks in advance for the support. Best regards ~darcy

  7. Its Like waking up after a night of rain, The sky is Bluer than blue and the clouds are puffy and bright white, it hurts to look up at the beauty of sight. Everything is crystal ! What a adventure, can you believe I was awake and watched them remove the Lens out of my eyes, No patches afterwards, No real Pain to speak of, and every day my Vision gets Better and Better. At my app yesterday I was reading the bottom line on the eye chart ! and my eyes are still getting better. 3 different eye drops for the next couple of months and it will all be done, I am so freaking excited and happy, shit Happy doesn't come near how I feel. If you have Cataracts get them removed give yourself a Blessing !

  9. Hi @darcy, hey you're here now so why not start your quit? I know from my own experience that giving myself a future quit date never worked but we're all different..... I hope this time you take full advantage of everything we have to offer here including the SOS forum. I used it several times my first year. And at that site there was no dedicated forum like we have here. Here all moderators and members who follow that forum get notified when someone posts so that we can come try to talk you off the ledge and save your quit Anyway, we have great new directions with screenshots so that you can make yourself a new ticker. Just be sure to delete your current one first or it'll revert back to it. https://www.quittrain.com/topic/15042-creating-a-ticker/

  11. Linda, I am sorry you are feeling bad, the struggle is real. Just try to stay busy, it will help a lot. I have cleaned out all the closests, dressers. fridges, bathrooms. Just that will keep your mind occupied. I have also joined a survey site, keeps me busy and can earn money or gift cards. Sorry to say my attention has been focused on the Covid issue. I really feel like we will in the US and my state Texas, will have another shut down. I feel stupid but have been busy stock piling for a couple of months of quarantine. We have all learned that just being vaccinated will not keep you safe. Smoking is the last thing I have on my mind, just want to make sure I have everything I need (and my pups) so my son won't have to worry about me. I worry about them, out there in the work force. Their jobs have a lot of public contact, and my grandson just went back to school this week. You will get thru it because you have helped other people get through it. I will keep you in my thoughts! K

  16. Welcome back Darcy. Good call on giving up the smokes once and for all. There's a lot to love about freedom. The good news is: freedom is right there in front of you, you just have to reach out and grab it. Grab a seat and stay awhile. Enjoy the ride.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
