  2. Hello everyone, I am a Quitnet oldtimer. I joined that site back in 2003. I have had may starts and stops with my quit and quit again in 2016. The challenge I am now facing is that I became addicted to Nicotine Lozenges. So today, I decided to stop using them. I am using the patch but plan to follow the program to become nicotine free in six weeks. I am looking forward to meeting new friends and supporting others. KTG Gene

  7. Welcome aboard Gene and congratulations on quitting smoking. I'm glad you've decided it's time to kick the nicotine habit, taking both the lozenges and patch probably isn't recommended. Hunker down and stay close and we'll help support you as much as you need or want

  8. Sitting around feeling bloated. Started the day off with healthy activities: climbing and hiking. Ended the day with less than healthy activities. We stopped at a little greasy spoon type joint where I proceeded to eat a cheeseburger the size of my head and a double serving of potato salad. Gluttony always seems like a good bit of fun until the gas and heartburn kick in.

  12. Feeling satisfied after setting 4 new rat traps and putting more poison around. Been averaging 1 kill a day, would like to up my average . Mardi Gras is in full swing. Not masking this year but, made some great black eyed peas for itinerant revelers.

  20. Hello. This isn't the first time I've been here. Don't know if any of the people I used to talk to are still around, but I hope so, because I'd like to catch up and apologise for being such a failure in the past. So, I just decided to quit about 30 minutes ago. I have ripped up my last cigarettes and put them in the bin. I don't want to do this anymore because it is making me an anxious mess (well more anxious than normal). Anyway, here I am. I look forward to getting to know you all. Pumpkin xx

  21. Just opened a box of Nilla wafers and much to my delight they're in a plastic bag instead of the foil bag that always ripped no matter how careful I was. Awww, it's the little things in life........

  27. Woohoo beachmom, you're past hell week! The hardest week of them all! If you want some more inspiration we have tickers at the top of the page that will show you how much time, money saved and cigarettes you haven't smoked since you quit. I loved watching mine. You just fill in the info and then paste it into your signature

  30. I'm doing good. Had terrible time getting to sleep last night. Had the jitters which sent me into a panic but managed to get off to sleep eventually. Still feel a bit out of sorts but tried to carry on as normal. Even went for a bike ride with my friend....and I haven't been on a bike in over a year. It was lots of fun in the sunshine!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
