  7. That show had it all: half-naked women, dirty jokes, funny songs, innuendo, double entendres, a little bald man getting slapped on the head... And the combination of Yakety Sax and fast-motion sequencing can make anything funny.

  10. Just finished watching Jeopardy. This James Holhauzer guy, that is a professional and just keeps winning is really starting to drive me crazy. I hate Jeopardy but have gotten hooked into watching because the guy is unbelievable. I do, however, feel if he gives that cheesy, smart ass smile again that I want to smack him!

  14. Went to get my prescription for my Ventolin rescue inhaler today and saw when they rung me up that the cost was zero. So instead of just keeping quiet I told them and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was generic and my insurance covered it. Since I only have generic drug coverage I've been paying $64.00 a month for it so big savings for me. THEN I cashed in a $5.00 lottery ticket and bought three more of the same tickets with the $15.00 I won AND WON $500.00!!!!!!! So all in all a pretty darn good day

  15. F_______Marlboro Light - the short ones. Another F_____ing attempt to make us think smoking light ones would be better for us!

  16. I used to get emails and now I don't so something has changed because I didn't tick or untick anything. I agree that an option to receive or not is probably the best so people who don't want to receive an email have that option but when trying to contact someone who hasn't been logged on in awhile, it's a good tool to them know we would like to communicate with them.

  17. I usually don't watch jeopardy but tuned in to see him and he cracked me up when he said he had thought of a different career before he realized being a contestant on jeopardy was a viable career option lol.

  22. That would be the Thousand Islands area in Ontario Canada - St. Lawrence River running between Kingston Ont. and Montreal Quebec. The border runs along the middle of the river river all the way. It's a huge smuggling issue. Native people running primarily cigarettes from the U.S. side to their Indian Reserves in Canada - the Akwesasne Reserve in Ontario is a hub for this. Contraband booze too. It's a big problem. Cops have no authority on Indian reserves and won't do anything. Anyway - lesson for today; complete

  23. Reci I really love this perspective because it made me realise this is me since I quit. On reflection I don't think I ever really dealt with much in life. As soon as a problem came along I would throw a big hissy fit and head outside to chain smoke. When that guy pissed me off at work I came here and talked about it on my thread and when I got upset about NRT I wrote an SOS. I talked and people here helped me and I got past it. I actually dealt with my feelings rather than smoke. Don't get too excited guys. Not smoking won't change me from being an over opinionated, volatile, self righteous dick lol.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
