  1. Hello people, Just wanted to tell you that I am alright. Glad that I asked for help, it took me a while to do so honestly. To all lurkers: it does really help! Please post here when you are in need. Thank goodness a wonderfull team of Quit train Guards came to my aid. So grateful for that! I feel stronger after what happened yesterday, I'm not sure how to describe this in english but it feels like I re-married my descision to quit....? I uhm, renewed my vows or something? I'm sure you get the point. My quit grows stronger every day, going through these phases and coming out a bit messy and tired, but unharmed.... so important. Ok, enough for now, let's close this thread, no lingering and keep on truckin'!

  10. Congratulations @brand.new.ela for being 10 months smoke free!!! Well done on reaching double figures with your quit... probably the first time since you were a kid that you were excited about double figures . So the first of the November contingent (and there are a few of us) has hit double digits. That is a solid quit base right there, nice and stable. Thank you also for the great advice and support you contribute around the forums it helps to make this place great. So besides looking smashing in those double digits I hope you are doing something special to spoil yourself. Oh I checked with Bruno and co... yep you're a ten!

  22. I compare quitting to emerging from a cocoon. We are enveloped in something, not very pretty, and afterwards we emerge, new, different. This concerns both body and mind. The first weeks after quitting were a chance to observe anxiety and depression as physical, not mental experiences. That was intense but also very helpful on the further road.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
