My twin, Mary, has breast cancer...

Featured Replies

Just learned this over the holidays.  It seems that her journey will be identical to Mrs. Bakon's...chemo, losing hair, lumpectomy, and radiation.  The difference is that she is still a full time smoker....asking for prayers of healing and comfort.

Also asking for prayers for my Mom (90) and Dad (96) who are making themselves sick with worry...thank you.

  • Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  Mary's third of eight chemo sessions was today. After the second chemo, the lump had already gotten 50% smaller.  She is doing okay, just very tired.  Aft

  • Thank you so much!   To clarify, DD and Humbled are doing a race for the cure and said they would include Mary...

  • And, I should also add that my Mom and Dad are doing okay, too.  Answered prayers.

Oh Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear this.  I will pray for your sister as well as you and your parents.

We are all here for you whenever you need an ear.

Nancy, am so so sorry to hear this.  Positive thoughts and prayers sent for your sister, your family and you.

Oh, Nancy! I'm so sorry that your sister has this frightening diagnosis! I hope and pray that they caught it early and that she will be completely cured of this disease. More and more people are being cured every day, so there is good reason to be optimistic.

I will also pray for you and your parents. These are tough times but thankfully, you all have each other. Hugs to you. (((Nancy!!)))

So very sorry to read this.  Please know that I am lifting your family up in prayer.  If you need anything at all please let me know.  xx

Nancy so sorry to read this - sending prayers and thoughts to you and your family

I'm sorry to read this Nancy. :( I am sending her and your family healing thoughts.

Nancy, so sorry to hear this.  Sending prayers for your sister and your family!

I'm so very sorry my lovely Nancy. It goes without saying I will add your sister to my healing circle and raise my prayers for your family. Wish I was closer so I could come over and give you a big hug. Please know I'm available for venting anytime and I really mean that.

The other side is modern medicine really is a most wonderful thing. The options now, although harsh, allow every opportunity for recovery.

xx

I'll pray for her! And You and the family

So sorry to read this Nancy, hugs to you and your family xx

Oh Nancy... You are both in my thoughts and prayers, and I am sending you my love. I will be here if an when you need me. Love you.

Oh sweetie, I'm so very sorry to hear this, I'm sending you love and all positive thoughts, and will keep for you, your sister and parents in my prayers ((Nancy))

Sorry. If you need something let me know. Do you know what type? Positve or Negative? Stages are not an accurate judge of the sickness to us regular folk, more of "has it spread and how big is lump" are more important. Also if she found it, yearly check up did or if she hasn't been to check up in years and "accidentally found out" when something else was being checked or pain developed.

I would expect chemo to make her quit smoking.

I don't know the answers to any of those questions, except that she found it in self exam...

That's good start

So sorry to read this Nancy - I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Oh Nancy, what sad news and the time of year makes it that much harder. My thoughts are with you and your family, especially your parents. So hard for them, at their ages, to have a daughter sick.

K

I'm so sorry to hear such news. My thoughts are with you and your family.
