Jetblack is 1/2 Year Quit Today!!

Featured Replies

Congratulations on reaching the mid-way point to a full year quit JB! This is a big milestone so be sure to go celebrate it today in some special way. Strating tomorrow, you will be on the downhill side of getting to the Lido Deck :)

Congrats lad! I like you, something funky about you, no window licker.

Congratulations on one half year smoke free, Jet!  You are doing great!!!  :)

Thank you.

Last night though I got like this weird crave where i could almost taste that first cigarette out of a new pack. My second thought was, "It will pass here in a moment".

Now folks, i try not to encourage other bad habits, however, sometimes when i "treat" myself to something like another pair of shoes I cannot live without, my thought process is often "I have saved more than that by not smoking so screw it".

Often I still would like to smoke but figure, no need to ruin a solid quit.

Congrats Jetblack on the six months.  I remember when I stopped smoking you were at your 3 month mark and having some concerns with quitting and craves at that time.  To be honest your posts at the time created some fear in me for the 3 month mark but I thank you for those posts at that time.  It created in me a desire to prepare for that 3 month mark and it was a big help.  I got through that third month because of that and have a good concept of the problems of month 3 which hopefully I will post later, anyway again thanks for your posts and your honesty it helped -- congrats and keep it up.

Martian - Well shoot, I hope it wasn't discouraging. In my case, i was rummaging some old magazines for ads and of course every other page in the mags was about tobacco. I guess it just triggered a crave. But if YOU are starting to struggle, power through it. It may even take a couple days but after that, the final big battle is OVER.

The shoes, yes. By a company called "Born". One model is BOC (Born Concept). They were listed as "pre-owned" but they were brand spankin new when i received them. $60 sandals for $20.

AND, very comfortable for a heel. I am sure Bakon would understand the value of comfy heels.
