Another reason to hate smoking 🤬 It silences people like Jillar who did so much for others to help them quit smoking. She was taken way too soon 😢

I'll tip back a Coors Light in your honor tonight my favourite Bunny :)

I definitely miss Jill too.  She was a great person who helped many.  Rest in peace.  😞

A Haiku for you

My silly and loving friend

Your memory near

You helped so many

Always there for each of us

With your bunny speed

How you made me laugh

Our late night games I treasure

Always in my heart

I reread emails

Cannot believe you are gone

Didn't say goodbye

As you rest in peace

You are still sending out love

Love back to you Jill

I have to get to work and Dr. appt but can someone explain to me what happened. I know Jill had the breathing problems but???

She had respiratory issues for quite some time as a result of smoking.  She was going to the doctor for a long time regarding her health issues.

I didn't realize how bad it was but one day she stopped posting, and she was one of the most active people here.   Eventually we found out that she had passed away.

She quit a little over a year after I did and was a big reason why I stuck around quit sites (this one and QSMB).  She devoted a lot to helping others as well as being a lot of fun at the same time.

It is really sad and she is definitely missed.

Jill quit a month before my first failed 7 month quit at QSMB.. She was the reason I joined the Train after we lost contact.  I knew she had the respiratory issues and they were bad but never would I believe anything could stop her. When she found out I was in the hospital with the heart issues we talked multiple times a day to lift my spirits. After this last relapse she knew I was giving in even before I did and emailed me to get my head right but my excuses were stronger. I always thought I would come back and we would just start over.

Thanks for the reply Johnny I was wondering why my message to Jill went unanswered.

I know without a doubt the many people Jill helped in her incredibly special way will always remember her.

I know I will.

This is so dam terrible.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
