Congratulations @Reciprocity on 9 years smoke free, what a wonderful accomplishment!!🎉  You are a role model for all of us.  Thank you for your support that you have given me during those horrible beginning months, as well as the support you have given to countless others on here.  Celebrate big, you deserve it!  All the best!😀

OMG!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I try to give back what I have taken for others that went before me as that helped me imeasurably during my quit.

I honestly forgot completely about my 9th anniversary yesterday as I just returned from a trip and was busy catching up with household stuff and not realizing what the date was.

My celebration was a nice warm beach away from all the snow & freezing temps at least for a brief period!

Welcome Back @Reciprocity😃  When you forget that its your quitting anniversary, you know you are a true Non smoker! 👍 I think that is the turning point. Even though I know I am a non smoker, I know exactly how long I have been quit, and when my next quitting anniversary is.  I hope when I am 9 years or sooner, I won't remember either!!

So glad you had a wonderful vacation and that picture is absolutely gorgeous!!  The water and palm trees look so amazing!!🌴😁

Gday

i live in the sub tropics. So freezing not a problem.
Being an ex sailor going on a cruise is like a bus driver taking a bus tour.
glad you’ve enjoyed yourself and blown all your saving from not smoking

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
