  14. Wonderful and thought provoking post, Jackie...so very true. I think one thing that is different now than when I was a young smoker, is that there are so few places you can smoke. Honestly, (this is embarrassing to admit) that was a big reason I decided to quit...it was just too much damn hassle, anymore! I know that is not a very good reason, but it worked for me!
  15. RF, so sorry, but you have awhile to go yet!! The cravings will get fewer and fewer, but my emotions definitely were a roller coaster until about 6 months, and then started to get better. In my case, my go to solution for every emotion for 40 years was to smoke a cigarette. I am still learning different ways to deal with emotions....but I don't ever crave a cigarette. You are doing so well....keep up the great work!
  16. I hope you have a wonderful day, Pippa!
  17. I'm good, Beacon...I think it would be easier if I could be with her, but she has a great support team!
  18. DD and Humbled are racing for a cure...
  19. Oh, Gemma, that sounds like the perfect day! Enjoy!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
