  3. G’day NOPE .....Not One Puff Ever.... (replace Ever with Min,Hour, Day as required.)

  4. As you know we are addicted to nicotine so there is no such thing as "just one". It most always is quickly followed by another, then another ... . You don't have to keep choosing to quit over and over again. Choose to quit and then let it go. Do something/anything else besides smoke. Get yourself off the merry-go-round. Nobody can do it for you. You have to break the chains of your addiction (keep it dormant by not smoking). You can do it! Best Wishes.

  10. I’m so sorry to hear that news, Gene. But I really respect your being accountable and getting back on the Train. Reflect on what there is to learn from this relapse, but shake it off and move forward. As others have said, ours is a wily addiction. It lurks in the tall grass waiting to ensnare us when we let down our guard. Many of us have had a winding road to freedom… but we’ve learned that it IS possible to get back on track. You can do this, my friend!

  11. That's disappointing news Gene You'll need to consider the circumstances that allowed you to think having a smoke was necessary and make a plan for how to deal with the same situation should it happen again. 9 Months and now starting over again can't be easy and I'm sure you're regretting what happened but put all that aside and get yourself back on the train where you belong! You've had a good taste of freedom from smoking now let's make that permenant!

  16. Thank you so much Doreen and Gene! The two years really did go fast, although not so much in the very beginning...LOL!! I can still remember those early days and how hard they were but with the support that I got from all of you on this site, it helped me so much. I know that if I can quit, anyone can. I was so addicted, constantly looking to have the next cigarette. Thank you again!

  23. Okay what are you thinking?- don't do it. You know one puff will lead to 3 times the amount of your prior smoking and you will die young. Breathe in deep keep doing this in 2 minutes you will realize what you almost did. Not One Puff Ever means exactly that. Care for yourself and others around you. Just get over it and move forward. This will pass. You are a non smoker. Believe in your self - this is easy you don't smoke. Just don't - it is that easy it is your choice an you are not a chimney You don't smoke

  26. Hey Fay, remember all the times you wanted to quit and thought you couldn't do it? Now you proved you can and you want to go through all that again? Remember the sleepness nights, the sadness how you cried at anything, the anger and the depression you thought would never go away? Please be smarter than that stupid monkey sitting on your shoulder! Wake up!!! Take several deep breaths and sip on some water! YOU CAN DO THIS!

  29. There will not be any negativity about other quit smoking message groups, their members, old fights etc. Anything that has happened at other support groups has nothing to do with this one and should be left in the past. Thanks for understanding.--MQ :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
