It's been roughly 518 days or 1 year 5 months and 28 days since my last smoke. I've had many craves along the way but everyone one of them was easily manageable. I can be done.9 points

Its been 8 months and 23 days, it can be done. I have had many craves but finally getting past them. It just takes time, I smoked along time so it takes a commitment to NOPE!!!8 points

Join me in showing it can be done. Just say how many days it's been since you had even one puff/chew of any tobacco product. 25 glorious days - I've had many hundreds of cravings, but not one of them twisted my arm, put my head in a vice, or used a taser on me.7 points

G’day A week to go and it’s 6 years since I smoked. Somewhere in that first year my mind slipped that gear and I changed from being a smoker to a non smoker. I celebrate each morning with a NOPE pledge then get on with the important task of living life..........6 points

2400ish days, which is also about how long the first few months felt to me. Big congrats on your first 25 and for realizing so soon what a glorious achievement each day is!4 points

Almost 7 years (next month). It took a while but I finally came to the realization of how unhealthy I was physically and mentally having my life revolve around nicotine addiction. So glad I quit.4 points

White water kayaking sounds like a fun workout! Today was my long bike ride and banged out 50 miles in 3 hours- just over 16 mph. It was hot with a headwind last 20 miles luckily I planned and had plenty of water on board2 points

I'm a bit of a river rat myself. Worked as a raft guide (Ocoee and Nantahala). Did a lot of kayaking. Transitioned to a canoe. Used to travel up to West Virginia every year for Gauley Fest. Had a nice little sing-a-long with a few hundred friends to this one. Good times.2 points

When I quit smoking on Sept 7, I printed a Sept calendar sheet so I could put a red X on something each day I didn't smoke. Today marks 23 days and is the last day of the month. Felt great to have to print out a new sheet for October. Not a month of not smoking yet, but just the action of having to change the calendar felt so good. And taped at the bottom of my calendar is a small sheet that says: "If you quit now... You'll end up right back where you first began. And when you first began, you were desperate to be right where you are now. Keep going." Those red X's remind me of all I would be giving up if I take even one puff.1 point

I'm sure you already know the first 3 days have both the psychological and the physical withdraw cravings, then the physical withdraw symptoms are gone after 3 days. But I believe that not only do the first 3 days of nicotene withdraw vary from person to person, but also quit to quit. I did not trust myself to get through the first 3 days again (my 7th serious attempt to quit in 40yrs). I live several miles from a store that sells my brand, so I asked my wife to hide both sets of my car keys for 3 days (working from home right now). This killed my access to cigarettes unless I wanted to try a different brand which I did not. I had maybe 10% of the physical withdraw symptoms I had in the past. Because I simply had no access, it was like my mind just didn't think about it that much. I think alot of what we perceive as physical symptoms is just the mind exaggerating the affects of the physical symptoms. It would be kind of like the difference in when a man gets a cold vs a woman gets a cold. I get a cold and instantly think I'm no longer capable of even reaching the TV remote. My wife gets a cold and seldom even lies down. Some of the symptoms are in the mind. Congrats on quitting again and hang in there.1 point

Welcome back, Sparkles. You are doing a great thing in quitting smoking. You can't do anything about the past so just focus on now. Quitting smoking is the right thing to do and you can do this.1 point

You definitely got this. Just keep trudging forward and don't look back at that place you buy your cigs. I bought most of my cigs at the corner gas station. I became so friendly with the guy behind the counter that it seemed like my day was not complete if I did not stop in. It actually was my junkie brain telling me to stop. How exciting it was to stop in after my 1 year quitversary and tell him I was not longer a smoker.1 point
