  9. Excellent, do not go back to smoking. What is the point in smoking ? Spending gobs of money to put your health and life in peril ? Gather and nurture your power as it is wrenched from addiction and be kind to yourself.

  12. Feeling satisfied after setting 4 new rat traps and putting more poison around. Been averaging 1 kill a day, would like to up my average . Mardi Gras is in full swing. Not masking this year but, made some great black eyed peas for itinerant revelers.

  14. Way to go Pumpkin! A cigarette would look so out of place in your hand. Hang in there, stay strong and better days are on the way. Best wishes.

  15. @jillar, you are correct! I have never been age conscious - the "big" birthdays pretty much came and went without much fanfare on my part. Except for my 40th and 50th - I went on scuba trips (which were fabulous!!) and for my 60th I went on a cruise to the Caymans with some cousins and friends several of whom were also turning 60...that was a fun time (I also did some diving!!) For my 65th which was just at end of last year....I decided it was time to get back in the dating pool (been divorced for over 10 years now)...so here I am dating again! I am lucky. He happens to be a great guy that I have known for quite a few years...the universe decided to shake things up and we were thrown together!

  21. How exciting, Rozuki! That's a good reminder to just get back in the game and go for whatever might make your life better rather than sitting back and accepting the status quo. Have fun out there.

  27. The urine test caught me by surprise. The Dr didn't say anything about it and I didn't see it on the lab order so it must have been in code otherwise I definitely would have done that lol

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
