I walked 4 houses down (and back lol) X3 Saturday and today. I had to force myself to start doing this. I am glad I did. It has helped my mind set and anxiety greatly.

More than I do! LOL I need to change that. I have always been athletic. Up until menopause started kicking in a couple of years ago. 😞

  • ran outside 6 miles and walked 1 mile it was nice

  • I am in awe of all of you...but I am proud that after at least 15 years of total slugdom...after 3 1/2 weeks I am walking 1.6 miles in 30 minutes on my treadmill!!

Still continuing my 40 minute walks morning and night . Breaking in new sneakers tomorrow :)

Good morning!

been hitting the trails on the mountain bike a few times a week to build leg strength- very refreshing to see deer on a ride instead of cars and stoplights like the road bike

Trails are great.

Back when I was running, I absolutely hated running on roads and treadmills.

However, I could spend all day out in the woods running on a nice mountain trail.  Even when the legs hurt and the lungs burned, the fresh air and solitude were welcomed.

Masochism is more fun in the mountains.

Well this morning is slow moving . Blah ! Blah ! Every excuse in the world not to go for a walk but none that are real convincing even to myself lol so I'll get my rear in gear in 25 minutes and head out for my walk . If I would have had one slice of toast instead of two I wouldn't have  to walk so far lol . Must think of that before eating more than is necessary for good physical and mental health lol .

The positive is that it is  a gorgeous day out . The leaves may actually fully bloom with the rain coming tomorrow . Yay !

Get out and enjoy the day @Abby! You will be glad that you did. ☀️

5 houses down the road (and back) X 3 today...might fit a 4th round in today :)

You go, girl!!! 💪🏻

2 40 min walks lol one in each direction .. took weights with me this time , little harder work out lol . I didn't realize how much harder , so it goes without saying less weight is easier to carry around .

I want to lose five lbs so will carry five pound weights on alternate walks for a week ( weather permitting ) .. let's see where it gets me ha . Happy gal with a one pound loss or happy with less flabby muscles lol . Not picky , but do want results ..

Going to keep following all your guys lead . You all rock !

@Gus did you post a pic , because I don't see it but do see a bunch of numbers . Is it from my end ?

Good job on your walks as well ... every step further is one further than before right . Great job . Osaat .

I'm convinced @reciprocity

Haha will do , raining today , cold , and not sure humidity or an asthma /copd flare but breathing is rather hard this morning . Real hard ! Glad I don't smoke !

Well the rain couldn't stop me yesterday , I still got out for a shorter walk.,

Today is suppose to be a downpour so it will be a u tube excersise day ., have a good one.

Love being immersed in nature and pushing my boundaries!

It's the exercise that breathes life into me

Stretching out the mountain bike rides each weekend. Fun 20 mike loop this morning that included over 1000’ of climbing. Fitness is coming along nicely. Nothing beats the buzz of endorphins after a workout

Beautiful overcast morning here in So Cal and perfect weather for a run. Happy Sunday!!!

All week long got in my 4-5 daily walks each one 15 minutes long now (huge mood boosters)

love body.jpg

1 walk about 20 minutes once, sometimes twice a day. I take my dog with me. He stays at my side. It’s good for him, too, because he is always where I am. So, if I am just laying around, so is he. I will gradually increase my time and speed, but for being 9 days in, I feel like I am doing this the right way. Also, I am 70, so there’s THAT!😳😂

I think you doing great...when I started walking I could go 4 houses down and back...does not sound much but sure felt like a lot to me :) now just weeks later I am taking a half hour walk (after each meal) 3 times a day ...I feel like that is enough ...though I did add in a online exercise class yesterday and laid in bed this morning thinking why...whyyyyy am I so sore today?... then had that oh yeah moment..................lol

After abusing the body from the outside in from smoking any form of activity that promotes some increased blood flow and breaths per minute is progress. Endorphins are a wonderful thing for the mind body and spirit.

...sigh. I miss my endorphin rushes. What a high! 😉
