  2. How true.
  3. This makes me so sad. He seemed like such a happy man. Ugh, heartbreaking. :( RIP Robin Williams.

    This or That!

I haven't had the opportunity to experience either, but I'm going to guess I'd enjoy a cruise. Pancakes or waffles?

  12. Hey Juan: Welcome back! It's lovely to see you again. :) All that matters is you try and try again until your quit sticks. I agree that water and chewing gum can be very helpful! Keeps your mouth busy.
  13. Smoking is gross and I hate it, so NOPE!
  14. I've often wondered this myself, but yes, it's definitely all about the money. When I was still smoking, I used to buy the "cheap" cigarettes. They were still $10 a pack!
  15. Very good tips to follow!
  16. Hey Glorin: Congrats on your quit and welcome to QT! The start of our journeys sound very similar. I just up and decided to quit one day because I was at a point where I absolutely despised smoking. Yes, cravings suck and some of the physical withdrawals are a pain, but like you've said, all the physical ones have started going away. And you're right, educating yourself on cravings is very important. You're off to an impressive start! Congrats again. 5 weeks is amazing.
  17. The photo isn't of my cardbox, but what I'm hoping for!
  18. I have started some DIY stuff for my wedding next year. Here's my photo inspiration for my cardbox. Will post pictures once I'm actually finished. :)
  19. It's going to be a smoke-free day for me. NOPE!
  20. Susana, I'm so happy you had a good day. :) Soon, you will have more better days than bad! I promise you, things get better (as you've sort of witnessed already!) The feeling of freedom is a beautiful thing.
  21. Was thinking about her recently as well! Hope all is well Sarah!
  22. Thank you! If I can quit, anyone can. I very much loved my cigarettes over the years, but the last year or so before I quit, I hated everything about smoking. The smell, the smoker's cough, always getting sick. In the end, my desire to quit was higher than my desire to smoke. I just kept telling myself how much I hated smoking and it really helped me with my quit. That's why I'm a strong believer in having a good attitude while quitting. :)
  23. I agree with you 100% -- attitude is everything! Once you realize that smoking has nothing to offer you, you're free. You are no longer a slave to your addiction. Congrats on making it through Hell Week with your head held high! Keep the positive attitude up -- you've got this. :)
  24. Got a 93% on my Accounting quiz. It's a miracle!

Haha, Ross, I'm not sure about that, but thank you. :) I have been struggling with Accounting since I started school in May. Doesn't help that my professor is kind of a jerk. I had a migraine a few weeks ago, so I contacted her and she said, "Oh well. Without a doctor's note, I will have to take off 20% for any late assignments." It's a migraine... the doctor would have told me to take pain killers!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
