  8. For some (like me), smoking causes you to feel ashamed of yourself. You know it's a dirty, nasty habit, so you try to hide it from those who "don't know."
  9. What's your least favourite song?

  14. It's been a glorious, smoke-free day for me. :)
  15. Smoking causes you to count your change. Every penny goes towards a pack of cigarettes. Sometimes eating is less important to you.
  16. Looks soooooo appetizing.
  17. Don't feel uncomfortable talking to us about it! We can relate. That's what we're here for. :)
  18. Yeah, do not listen to those junkie thoughts! Listen to Jackie and learn from her. Did smoking make her happy? Nope. What do you think you'll gain from smoking? Nothing, because there is nothing to gain. It won't fix any problems you have. You will feel worse, trust me. You know this. Fight through it with all your might. Hold onto your quit.
  19. What's wrong Susana?! We're here for you. .

Thanks Jen! Yeah, I had a root canal about a year ago too. The tooth that's giving me issues is right next to the root canal too!

  22. Hehe. :D
  23. I have reached the point where my tooth is now throbbing, my cheek is swollen, and I can't chew. I have yet to hear back from the dentist. I'm thinking in the morning, I will have to find another one.

Sue, that's what I'm going to do today. I can't take it anymore. I don't know which one I'm going to go to, but I've been looking at reviews. I have a fear of freezing needles, so got to pick one that isn't evil and loves to use their freezing needle as a stabbing device. That's what my old dentist was like!

Beacon, I agree as well. There's a bump near the tooth and that's really worrisome. I think it's an abs...

ugh, I hope you found a non-stabby dentist by now...

  24. Aw geez ((((Jen))))), I'm so sorry. I know it was a while ago, but still so devastating. :(

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
