  1. Sounds amazing! Lol.
  2. One of these for protection. This guy looks incredibly creepy:
  3. This happened to me! I had to stand there half naked while three of them looked at the screen. They asked me to go through the whole procedure again because they didn't get a clear picture or something. The guy who was putting the x-ray vest on me was a young college student. It was all very awkward. I felt like he should have bought me a drink afterwards because he saw my boobs.
  4. I think once a year is totally acceptable. I had one because I get a lot of chest pain. My lungs (thankfully) came back clear. I was convinced I had some disease, so I was sweating buckets when I got my results. I have a condition called Costochondritis. Basically, it causes the cartilage between your ribs to become swollen. That's why I get chest pains. Thankfully it's nothing serious, but unfortunately, there's not much they can do for the pain.
  5. I think less or the same for me. I was never a big drinker to begin with, but on occasion, I do enjoy some whisky, Sangria, or a ginger beer. I used to love my Vodka, but my body says NOPE to that. I'd say in the last two weeks, I've been drinking more because of the toothache, but I've witnessed what alcohol can do to people and I'm not a fan. I hate being around drunk people to be honest.
  6. This is such a clever idea! 1. I feel free and like I don't have to adjust my schedule to a cigarette. I can go to a movie without panicking about not being able to smoke. 2. I get to kiss my fiance without him telling me I taste like an ashtray. 3. I no longer have to stand outside in a blizzard to feed my addiction. 4. I don't get disgusted looks while out and about (that I'm aware of). 5. I don't have to hide anything from my family/friends or feel ashamed about anything I'm doing. 6. I can buy myself something without worrying about buying a pack. 7. I get to spend more valuable time with those I love.

Thank you Ross! You are looking pretty dapper yourself. ;)
  8. Lol, I can just imagine you rubbing the desk. Hope you find the tight ripper soon! I agree with Nancy -- that could get very expensive, very quickly!
  9. Thinking about you's as well. Hope all is okay!
  10. Eek Sharon, that's so exciting! I bet you will have a blast. :) Take lots of pictures!
  11. Oh wow. Glad you're okay Comrade! The jumper cables sound incredibly painful. :( Sorry you had to go through that!

Me and the "little brother." He's taller than me.
  13. Nicely done! 6 months is fantastic. Congrats Aine. :)
  14. No problem. :) I remember how much support I needed during the early stages of my quit. And thank you! :D
  15. I agree with MQ. I think we can definitely help you (or at least try our best to!) -- you just need to reach out to us. Hope all is okay and hope to hear from you soon. You've been able to quit before, so you know it's not impossible. Everyone here has an idea of what you're going through. What better way to quit than to be surrounded by a community of people who have been exactly where you are today? Thinking of you!

Awww, thank you MQ! He means everything to me. We've been through some really rough times, but we're always there for each other. He's been amazing. I don't think I would have gotten through the last 9 months without him! He's been extremely supportive with my quit as well -- he was never one to tell me I HAD to quit, but when I decided to quit, he was right there to help me, support me, and cheer me on. Everyone else thought I'd fail, but he had faith in me.
  17. Same here! It's a NOPE day for me. :D

Him without his glasses. He looks like a completely different person, I think.

Going through pictures again because I have to pull all-nighters for the next two nights in preparation of my sleep study. Ugh. Picture of me and Steve back in December.
  20. Aww, Mrs. Jimmy is beautiful. :) Love the picture! Keep them coming Jimmy. :D
  21. Thanks El B!
  22. Thank you so much Pippa! :)
  23. Thanks Jen!
  24. Wow, 7 months already. Congrats Julie! You're rocking this. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
