  1. I'm in favour of internet love! Of course there are the creeps out there, but that happens at bars/pubs as well. I truly believe that relationships that started online can last. It's so much easier to meet someone online. My last boyfriend before Steve, I met in college. Spent three years on and off with him. He would always introduce me as his "friend" when we went out, yet we were living together and were sharing a bed. He was heaps crazy though. Lots of mental issues. Still... goes to show you that meeting someone in person doesn't necessarily mean they are any less creepier than some of the dudes online, lol.
  2. I actually met him online. My cousin forced me to create a profile on a dating website because she thought I needed to meet someone after spending three years in a previous relationship and getting badly hurt. I was completely opposed to the idea, but I kept getting emails from this Steve guy. I looked at his profile and thought, "No, he's skinny, he's a nerd. He won't like me," but after a few months of emailing back and forth, we decided to meet up for coffee. Coffee turned into dinner and drinks.
  3. Welcome to QT! Congrats on your quit -- almost a year?! Fantastic! I loved your intro and am looking forward to seeing more from you. :)
  4. Probably one of my favourite shows as a kid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v53mhRXXT2g
  5. It's kind of hard to get into Sharon. I tried watching some seasons over and was like, "Nope... can't do it. Too fake." Haha. If I were going to the island without really knowing/caring about survival, I would bring: Radio, batteries, the cookbook my mom made me (lots of sentimental value), a sketchbook, pencils/a pen.
  6. I think this came out in 1986, a year before I was born. I used to watch this all the time as a kid. Ooooh, and this one:
  7. Agreed about New Zealand. I have an online friend from New Zealand who I have been chatting to for 10 years. He often sends me pictures that takes my breath away. Tough one Sharon! A radio (I need music), batteries for said radio, flint, a fishing pool, and a Steve. Lol, just kidding about the Steve part. I don't think that's allowed! Probably water until I can find some? I've watched a lot of Survivor.
  8. The x-ray happened quite some time ago, but I do remember them putting a heavy jacket-type thing across me. I don't know why they did it that way. I just assumed that was the proper way?
  9. Hahaha, that's exactly how I felt. Four people in the x-ray room and my boobs are exposed. The college student was shaking a bit. I felt kind of bad for him. I swear, some people go into these professions to see boobs. I've always thought that about male gynos.
  10. I at least want to travel to NZ once in my lifetime. I've been promised by one of my older brothers that he'll take me, but he's not very good at keeping his promises, so I don't really believe him, lol. Breathtaking!
  11. That's a beautiful pic Pippa!
  12. Awww, I'm sorry to hear about your loss Jimmy. :( Hugs. Thinking of you. RIP John.
  13. Aww, that would be amazing. I keep hoping we win the lottery. I really wish I had an endless supply of money so I never had to worry about anything
  14. Deal! :)
  15. Red. New Zealand! I have always wanted to travel there. I've heard it's beautiful, so if money weren't an issue, I'd travel there first and would probably end up staying there, lol.
  16. Not watching anything on TV, but am watching The Amazing Race Canada on my computer. It's currently 9:08 a.m. here.
  17. I dozed off for about an hour and a half. Now I feel worse than I felt before laying down.
  18. Haven't had it yet. Happens tonight at 10 p.m. EST.

  20. That's a tough one. Right now, I'm in school and hope to get a job in human resources after I finish up my degree. Originally I wanted to be a journalist, but blah to that.
  21. No smoking for me today. NOPE!
  22. Hey guys: I am pulling an all-nighter in preparation of a sleep study and am starting to doze off. I need some kind of distraction! Ask away. I'm an open book, lol.
  23. The kissing is definitely an important one!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
