  1. Aww, thank you Gem! :) Can't wait to celebrate your one-year on the 30th! Thanks Beacon! I feel ah-may-zing! I am so proud of myself. I honestly thought I'd give up ages ago, but I didn't and my quit is stronger than ever. I'm never going back to smoking.
  2. Thanks MQ! Hahaha @ Bakon. I like your honesty!
  3. Thanks Bakon. Haha, my real name's Leanna... Annael backwards. I thought I was being clever at the time, but now I'm regretting it considering people thought my user name was Anal.
  4. Thanks Paul! Jenny, Steve and I were in stitches over this video! Hilarious. :) Thank you so much! Thanks Sarge! Susana, I agree! I never thought blonde hair would suit me. Too funny. (That's probably the skinniest I've been in years as well, lol. Damn, I clean up well!)
  5. Excellent work Becca! 18 months is amazing. :D
  6. Thank you Fay! :D
  7. Thanks Jimmy! Thanks DentalFloss!
  8. Agreed REZ. That was one of the things that helped me quit... reading up about all the horrible health problems that can arise from smoking and witnessing some loved ones suffering.
  9. Thank you Wiley! :)
  10. Thanks NayNay! Congrats on your three months. :D Awww Sue, you're amazing! Thank you. <3 Definitely eating cake. I already told Steve we're celebrating, lol. I can't stop smiling! Can't believe I've made it. :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  11. Aw, thanks Ross! You're so kind. :) Hugs.
  12. Thanks everyone! I can't believe it's been two years. Wow! This anniversary means a lot more to me than my first year because I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to stay quit forever at that point! Now I do and it's a wonderful feeling. Smoking sucks and I'm never going back to that! Thank you lovelies for being here to celebrate with me. xo. :) You guys are the best!
  13. Another NOPE day. :D

    Tracey?

I think that's a pretty valid assumption, hehe.
  15. I love to people watch too, lol. People are truly fascinating! You are so right Sharon. I used to envy smokers, thinking it's "not fair" that they get to smoke and I don't. Now, I don't envy them; I feel bad for them! When it is -30C outside and I see someone smoking, I feel sorry for them, knowing that they are a slave to their addiction and will do and smoke anywhere to get their fix.
  16. Go you! A month is an excellent quit. I really love your attitude as well. You've got this!
  17. When I was a smoker, smoking was more important than eating. I'd starve all day if it meant I could smoke my precious cigarettes! What a waste of money for sure. Excellent reminder Doreen!
  18. I love Cyndi Lauper:
  19. Guess what? I was thinking about making a 90s music thread last night!

That's from the amount of grease I eat. Just kidding! I don't wear a lot of make-up, so my skin is usually decently clean and I tend to scrub it like crazy. If I drink a Coke though, I have a face full of acne the next day. I don't understand why, as a teenager, I never had a lot of acne, but as soon as I hit my 20s, I started breaking out. Makes no sense to me.
  21. Woo Gem, almost there! Can't wait to celebrate your one-year anniversary with you!
  22. Big ol' NOPE for me today. :)

Thank you! I agree Jen -- she looks beautiful!
  24. Terrifying, but unfortunately reality for some. I smoked for 5 years and I may not be out of the woods. I have watched people with COPD and emphysema suffer. Lung cancer scares me to no end. I'm sorry about your friend [[[[beacon]]]]]].
  25. Four out of 6 courses have a passing grade so far. Just waiting to hear back from my last two!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
