  1. @jillar @Doreensfree @johnny5 @reciprocity Thank you for all the support. I stayed strong.
  2. Wow that's alot of "triggering" stuff to deal with on day one. Very well done!
  3. Unfortunately easier said than done, they aren't mine. Anyway I had a good cry. Then had some buttered pop corn. And no chocolate in the house but did find some nougat. I think I'll try for a little snooze soon.
  4. I must have woken up about 4 or 5 times last night with a bothersome mosquito. I did go to yoga this morning, but I'm feeling a little unsettled. I could have a cigarette (not mine but is in the house) but will it really help? F*ck. Day 5.
  5. It's Friday and for some reason I have that naughty streak of let's kick back and relax. This little devil on my shoulder can go back to wherever he came from, sneaky sh*t NOPE, NOPE, NOPE.
  6. I'll just call you Mistress Mee from now on and make sure I stay in your good books. Never been one for pain Only teasing Despite I'm sure a very upsetting time, you were the winner. You did not cave and you came out stronger. Good for you!! #powerfulwarriorlady
  7. Went to gym this morning, did about 50 minutes weight training. Going back at 17h30 to do a HIIT class. Exercise is giving me the endorphins that I need
  8. It's another big fat NOPE
  9. Mastering The Human Experience. Your Soul's Journey On Earth. - Michael Edward Bradford.
  10. Oh poor piglet.
  11. @Amy R.Congratulations on your clean 5 weeks smoke free, just over a week ago. Trust you are doing great!
  12. Never ever give up fighting for yourself.
  13. Yep, all addicts indeed. You are so inspiring. Yeah let's have fun.
  14. My sincere apologies to all vegans and vegetarians.
  15. Oh no what an idiot. I'm so sorry.
  16. Holy mackerel, I have spent a lot of time on the train today
  17. NOPE thread, posting and reading here. Eating yummy healthy foods, savoring every bite. Lots of water, not skimping on rest. Exercise. Knowing that there is so much love, non judgement, and support here on the Quit Train, makes all the difference.
  18. Thank you for personal reasons I won't be going the ticker route. Each to their own Whatever blows your hair back.
  19. Haha so cute. My daughter has 2 rabbits, a Netherland Dwarf and a Dwarf Angora. They are beautiful but wow as destructive as they come!
  20. I hear you! Another alluring one is alcohol. I know of people who quit many years ago that occasionally out of nowhere get a crave with a "certain" type of drink. Nicotine is a very sneaky drug. Nicotine and alcohol together gives a HUGE boost of dopamine. This is why when spending time at a bar or night club, most smokers smoke more than they normally would. The one drug "feeds" the other for a huge rush on the brain receptors. It is as if you just can't "get enough". Not good.
  21. I will keep that in mind thank you. Last night I had a bit of a row with a family member over something really silly (trivial) and I drove down to the beach front, sat in my car watched the ocean, and just did some box breathing. I JUST didn't want to smoke and feel all those horrible emotions of failure *again*. I now know that my stress levels and need "to soothe" are closely linked. Today has been so much easier as I kept myself busy and I actually felt extremely relaxed. Its 19:18 now, I still do. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Have a good evening day/evening everyone, where ever you are xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
