  1. I'm with you @Abby as much as I am fascinated and in love with a full moon it always makes me feel unsettled. Like you I struggle to sleep. I'll find myself taking photographs of it at 2am in the morning , almost as a way of acknowledging her beauty and magnitude. Studies have shown that many of us are affected on a physical or mental level during this time . I use it as a time of introspection. Journalling is very cathartic.I know that it's temporary and part of life. I'll be concerned if I start howling at it p.s. I'm a big believer in HALT #facts. Sleep is vital to me. Love, light and blessings to you. xx
  2. Cut the coffee for a while Steve, it's a trigger for sure. Lots of orange juice for the next couple of days, in a sippy bottle, especially when you have a hand to mouth craving. Healthy snacks, grapes are good and 2 litres of water a day. Valerian sleeping caps are great and natural (non habit forming) It's a new day. The past is the past. I have full faith in you and know that you want a better life for yourself and your loved one's. You now know more than ever, that going back is never an option xx
  3. A chef and a gardener. There's no end to your talents Sir
  4. If you believe that we are affected by astrology some of you might know that we are currently smack bang in mercury retrograde at the moment, making life a little trickier to navigate. Covid brought HUGE challenges for everyone and still do. These factors are maybe 30% of the challenges we face right now, ultimately we still have free will and we are mostly in charge of our lives. Our thoughts, our decisions, our mindsets are controlled by US and nothing else.
  5. 17h44: Decided this week to not have a glass of wine Monday to Thursday and only imbibe a little on the weekend. Looking at the bottle I bought today and thinking really? But why.

  7. Oh yeah it's a great substitute if you are low carbing or keto'ing. Really stick blend the cauliflower to within an inch of its life, so it's more like a rich creamy puree, add some cream cheese and grated strong cheddar. Perfect topping for fish bakes, cottage pies. Anytime a recipe calls for mash potatoes. Damn, I'm making myself hungry Did someone say bacon? *drool*

    Love conquers all.
  11. I'm easy. Mint on its own and I couldn't be happier
  12. Awe jeesh @reciprocity how am I supposed to sleep now, haha. Seriously though you aced that, and the raspberry sauce I'm sure just complimented the duck so well with that yummy glaze. Your wife is a very lucky lady! @Doreensfree Next time you make a potatoe salad, add a generous dollop of mustard (French or grain, not Hot English) to your tangy mayo. Thank me later. Similar kind of thing to adding it to your mash.

  14. Some people find absolute silence disturbing. Why do mosquitoes love to bite some people and not others?
  15. Thanks Linda, Elderberries end in S, so I'll go Sorbet
  16. @Abby You are amazing. I so enjoy and appreciate your posts. You are SUCH an asset to this forum.
  17. I don't know what the heck's going on. Some of the posts are muddled when I check back later. Most strange. Possibly the site takes a while to update.
  18. Oh dear heart. You have touched me with your kind words. God bless you.
  19. Thank you @Mac#23. So am I. Smoking sucks.. The life right out of you xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
