    Second vaccine

I'm thinking since we have a change of leadership, things are moving better. We have three vaccines (Moderna, Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer) in use now. Our healthcare workers, fire and police, people with extreme health issues and 50-70 year olds. Hang in there reci. Things have got to get better!

    Damn

I am so sorry Jimmy. My heart goes out to you. My dad passed away the day before your father-in-law, March 30th.
  10. Crying and can't believe that I am craving a cigarette. My dad just passed away. I can't tell you how dysfunctional my family is and how difficult it has been over the last five days. I did get the chance to tell my dad I loved him and he finally told me that he loved me. I know that should be enough but I can't seem to get rid of all the hurts. I am hoping now, that the healing will begin.
  11. During my quit, I was addicted to this forum. I finally found a place where I felt confident and encouraged that quitting was possible.
  12. That is wonderful. Congrats on your 5 year quit!
  13. Two years and six months. Smoking consumed too many years of my life. I now celebrate everyday by breathing that clean fresh air. As soon as this darn pandemic is over, I plan on enjoying every bit of my freedom.
  14. Thank you MQ. I am forever grateful to you and the people here who guided me to freedom.
  15. Welcome Gus. So glad you found us. There is a lot of support and friendship here. Yes I was a blubbering idiot in my early quit. I think I grieved what I once thought was my best friend. Your emotions can be all over the place during your journey but in the end, you will be one awesome quitter. Stay close and reach out when you need us.
  16. Good job pushing through. Jeff, keep marching forward and don't go back. Life is so much better ahead!
  17. Jeff, I so hope you power through this urge to go back to smoking. Once you have travelled this far on your journey, it is only a matter of redirecting those thoughts. Don't allow your addiction to consume your thought process. I know you have it in you.
  18. Linda, concentrate on the good. We had beautiful weather in Ohio also. Breath in that fresh air and enjoy finally being outside after the snowy winter we had. The worst of your quit is really over. Redirect those old thoughts to something new.
  19. Congratulations Steve! One month quit is huge. The first month is truly the worst. Keep your mind on the prize (a life free of smoking) and you with get there!
  20. Rant away Linda. We have your back and care. Celebrate your commitment to your quit and that you can handle the disappointments in life. Unfortunately, they are always going to be there.
  21. Lilly and Ray, you are always welcome back. We are here to encourage you and let you know that you can make it to freedom. Many of us have had a number of quits before we found success. Let's finally make this both of your final quits!
  22. She probably knows. I was amazed at how you can smell a smoker even though they try to hide it. I am sure she would understand your addiction and celebrate your freedom with you.

Yes it was very maddening at the time. All is well now. I think it was the feeling of losing control of something again (like smoking). It finally struck me funny. I don't look too bad in leather with a whip. No one would ever believe that would be me

I quit looking because I would get so irritated. My husband and I both tried everyway possible to contact instagram but nothing worked. We followed all their complaint procedures but they never responded back. He probably moved on to someone else.
  25. @AceWhite, isn't it amazing how much time we wasted smoking those cancer sticks.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
