Hey @Matt B how ya travelling...so suggestions for a small reward..me I'd get coffee down Lygon St but I'm a Melbournian, ya know what we are like with coffee....how about gold class at village for being a week free...that's only a couple a packs...or daily, give back, make a donation to the salvos or Smith family or the PJclub or Canteen... Um...buy yaself an expensive steak for dinner instead of budget shit from Woolies. A box of Vegemite shapes, nothing beats Vegemite shapes.

Well @Sazerac was correct, she is often lucky like this. 1. Was the lie, but only because it was judo not karate...3rd isn't that impressive because there were only 5 in my division due to height and weight and being mixed gender and belting. Didn't go to the hospital for nearly a week (because intially it was a case of, suck it up and compete for the club and then it was well it was ok to keep going during the tourny it can't be that bad... I was 9) 2. Yep, and that was after walking around on it for a couple of hours in the city. The things ya do when ya 14. 3. Yep it's true, I broke my own nose and fractured through the eye socket. Played 2 games cos it was just a blood nose and black eyes after it but that night when I was at the drags and it started bleeding like a tap and wouldn't stop, off to the hossy and 2 ops later.

Hmmmm... Let's see if I can do this right this time... 1. I once competed in a karate tournament and finished third after fracturing my foot in warm ups before my first fight. 2. I once walked for 15km on a broken ankle because I didn't want the guy I was crushing on to think I was a woosy. 3. I broke my own nose and eye socket why I dropped my shoulder doing a slap bunt and smacked it into my own face.

@Cbdave it was frickin grouse. The kid (fussiest eater on earth) has requested it again. I didn't have any bay leaves but I chucked a couple of lemon myrtle ones in. I'm all set for some chuck on Monday night.. going to try Asia flavours now.

The Ashes are a series a cricket test matches played between Australia and England. This is the perfect spot for this thread @Matt B. So the games thread here is not anything about computer games...it's just games you can play to help get past a prickly moment, they are more social interaction. Music threads are good too. During my first week a customer in Sydney made a comment he had to call before I went on smoko...and I felt pretty stoked to tell him I'd quit...his advice, just worry about not smoking today, one day that's it. Only focus on the day. If ya into omens I quit just before an Ashes series, an still going strong so clearly Ashes season is a grouse time to quit.

@Sslip's (algebraic) Law of X....or the SLOX....an invaluable tool in the games thread for all those A-Z games....just like in Algebra (see kids, it did have a purpose) X = a number.....and therefore an "X" could be played instead of skipped.
