  10. I did notice an old man today wearing shorts, black dress socks, and a pair of brown Crocs. I'm not going to laugh at his fashion sense. In fact, I admire the fact that he's reached that point in his life where he simply doesn't give a damn about fashion and trends. You do you random old guy.

  13. Still nursing my sore back. The pain meds they gave me, knock me out. Trying to pamper myself because we leave Friday to go camping. Can't get into an orthopedic doctor until I get back. Dr. at the emergency room just thought I sprained my back. You can be sure I will milk it as long as I can because hubby is giving me nightly back rubs!

  16. Yes it does and she knew that going in. I wore one for the wedding day and that's it! I don't even know where it is now. I suspect the wife put it away somewhere. I also have a gold & diamond ring that my father wore. My mother gave it to me when he died and I suspect it's worth a bunch. I never wore it other then when I go to her house. I sort of slip it on and off as required when I;m there. So far .... it's worked. Oh and ladies in thongs or anything else chasing me ...... LOL!! I'm pretty sure they are running in the other direction

  20. I don't get any of these fancy new shows on my TV......... Game of Thorns, The Silence (that's just what the wife gives me sometimes). Never saw those Henry Potter movies either. My rabbit ears don't bring in those fancy-pants shows. Here's my daily TV line-up on CHCH TV (closest local channel): 10:00 am - I Love Lucy 10:30 am - The Mary Tyler Moore Show 11:00 am - Sanford and Son 11:30 am - Laverne & Shirley 12:00 pm - Hogan's Heroes 12:30 pm - One Day at a Time 1:00 pm - The Jeffersons 1:30 pm - Barney Miller 2:00 pm - Mission: Impossible 3:00 pm - Fantasy Island Well, you get the idea! Probably why I don't watch much TV. (although Lenny & Squiggy make me laugh sometimes!)

  21. Hiya. In 12 hours I’ll be 4 weeks smoke free. Still having “moments” though not as often, they seem to increase in intensity and duration. Still taking it 1 day at a time. Emotions still swinging from very proud to very depressed but hope this will settle soon. Good news is the brain fog’s gone but left a short temper/snarky tongue which is taking some managing lol. Am having issues posting on here - not sure why . I can like posts but can’t always post comments- this is the first time I’ve been able to in over a week- you should all be grateful for that

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
