April 3, 201412 yr Hello, my name is Melody but every one calls me Mel. I'm married (13 yrs) and have a 11 year old son and a 4 year old son. I started smoking around age 17 though I tried a few cigarettes here and there prior to 17. They made me sick so I rarely got past one before thinking how gros they were. Not sure why I just didn't follow my initial instincts. I smoked for about 17 years, 15 a day average. I tried to quit over the years and successfully did while pregnant but it never stuck. I smoked my last smoke November 16th, at 10pm, right before bed. I had no intention of quitting the following day, I just woke up and said I didn't want to smoke anymore and went with it. Recovering from bronchitis was helpful but I was 5 days into treatment and feeling good. The rest is history. It's almost 5 months later, 20 fluctuating lbs heavier and feeling better than I have in years. Never again will I smoke. I am an addict to nicotine.
