  1. Jooooooolz! Wow. Aren’t you having a time of it? I was really sorry to read of your woes. How lucky those people are to have you. Your well isn’t dry; I just put some more water in it. You’ve got this Joolz.
  2. Second Chance. Congrats on quitting! Tip? Get a hobby. No offence.? You seem to obsessing on obsessing on anxiously being anxious. You quit. You did it. Celebrate! Reward yourself. Focus on all the positive benefits of your quit. You are naturally anxious about the risk that you might one day put something in your mouth and set fire to it - smile and nod at the power of the addiction and get on with you smoke-free life.
  3. No pain Doreen - I got a nasty ulcer thing from it way back - but assuming I avoid those - there's no pain. Apparently I inherited dodgy valves, and the only genuinely effective way to manage it is with compression stockings - so, I'm leaning into it?
  4. Whassup? I miss much? So - I moved to Cyprus. Well, somebody had to. We had a rough start, when my beloved Schnauzer was mauled by a mistreated village dog and died. We soldiered on, and are getting ourselves back on an even keel. Smoking? It's 5 years now. I still get the odd urge, nothing that would compel me to smoke, more a passing thought. Cyprus is a bit hot for kilt-wearing, so I have a nice line in sarongs (Bakon, still your pounding heart). Not smoking related - I have varicose veins, so have to wear compression stockings. Perfect for a hot climate. ? Me being me, I have found a nice line in shocking pink, stripes, polka dots etc...It's quite a look.
  5. Name: El Bandito AKA: Stuart Quit Date: 27/01/2014 About Me: Skirt wearing islander, specialising in Rocket Surgery Why I quit: Smoking's crap. Biggest bit of advice: Quitting can be tough. It's almost like they made those things addictive....
  6. Tough day Del. Good advice above. Pick yourself up, and dust yourself off. This quitting thing is a process. You can do it and you will do it. Keep on keeping on.
  7. Porky - I stalk him on Buddybook. ?

Hey there. Sorry to hear things are crap. Take a big deep breath and smile. Quitting smoking is a great thing. Well done. Breathe. Nice and slow
  9. You are doing great Linda. Smile. You are winning. Every day quit gets better. I promise.
  10. Hey Katie I’m not sure we have met. You are an idiot. I know, I’m an idiot too. Idiots smoke. You and me, we’re smart, we quit. No more smoking please, you really don’t want me to get honest with you.? Get up, get on. s
  11. 3 months woohoo! Ain't addiction fun? Your inner addict fella is kicking and screaming, because he knows its him or you...and he knows he is losing. Laugh, smile and shake your head at his melodramatics. Do it - laugh out loud. You don't smoke anymore. You know that it never gave you anything, except the desire to have another one. You quit. YOU did. Well done. Great work. Now get on with the rest of your day. ;-)
  12. Well done on stopping again. Remember how you are feeling now. You will only feel that way again, if you choose to. Smoking is a choice. Choose not to smoke. Keep on keeping' on.
  13. Hey Arynn. Congratulations on quitting smoking. That is a massive deal. Well done! The good news is yes, it does get better, and easier. Follow the advice above, and keep going, you are doing great!
  14. Walking to and from a work when the weather is OK and eat a low carb diet. Lost 56 lbs so far?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
