The Boo Crew is adding another member.

Sugar Britches, Maddie, and me made a trip to the OB/GYN this morning.  The lovely and talented Sugar Britches is nine weeks pregnant.

The doctor performed a thorough exam and an ultrasound.  Everything checked out and we're good to go.

We are looking at an estimated due date of mid-April 2022.

And the adventure begins again.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!!!

Had a visit with the good doctor yesterday.  Sugar Britches took a battery of tests and passed them all with flying colors.  We are officially in the second trimester now (16 weeks).  Took a look at the little one on the ultrasound machine.  Our future champion measures five-inches long and weighs in at four-ounces.

The highlight of the visit was when we were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time.  Really drives home the point that there is a little person in there just waiting to make their big debut.  Little one's heartrate was clipping along at 134 beats-per-minute.

My mother-in-law came by the house and stayed with Maddie while we were at the doctor's office.  Miss Maddie kept her busy...Grandma was ready for a nap by the end of the day.

Wonderful news..😁

I think it's amazing what information you can have when your having a baby now..

Back in my day ...you couldn't see or hear or know anything ...

You are so lucky ...would have loved to able to have this info....specially listening to that tiny heart ❤

So glad Sugar  Britches...and little bean or full of health..🐸

At next month's visit we hope to find out the gender of the baby.  Find out whether Miss Maddie is going to have a baby brother or sister.

Whichever it is, Maddie is well equipped to show the new kid the ropes.

The wait won't be long now.  Should know by this time tomorrow.

Sugar Britches is twenty-one weeks along now, halfway there.

The ultrasound at tomorrow's appointment with the obstetrician will allow us to get a good look at the new addition to the family.

Baby Boo or Baby Britches II...the countdown is on.

Miss Maddie is going to have a baby brother!

The gender determination was easy enough with the ultrasound.  He positioned himself in such a way that his gentleman's equipment was on full display...he truly is his father's son.

We were able to get a good look at the little man.  He was moving his fingers a lot, kind of clenching and unclenching his fist.  Sugar Britches assumed he was waving at us.  I assumed he was working on his grip strength to help with his deadlift and farmer's walk numbers.

So many thoughts bouncing around in my head right now.  I'm starting to figure out the whole what it means to be a father to a daughter thing.  There are curveballs thrown in on a regular basis, but I feel like I'm doing alright.  Now, I'm thinking a lot about the father/son relationship.  The role that a father plays in a young man's life is of critical importance.  It is an important job and one that I'm thrilled to take on.

The little man (name coming soon) is still on schedule to make his big debut around the middle of April.  Get ready folks, Boo Jr. is on his way.

Oh Wow !!!!

Congratulations .....We have a Prince ...To go with our Princess....Perfect.....

I'm delighted for you both ....Papa Boo will have so much fun with Boo Jnr.....

Oh a name ...yes ....we must all help you ...

Nana Toad is delighted ...❤❤❤
