@S, that's pretty much all I've been doing all day! Sleep is wonderful... until I wake up.

@Armed, probably the air that helped! If I ever make it out of my pajamas today, I'll wander out.

      @Ninja, yes sir!

  2. Yes, don't be afraid to post a hello! We're here to help. :)
  3. Sarah, this broke my heart. You didn't deserve that and he didn't deserve you for five years. Thank you for opening up and sharing your story with us. Remember, we are ALWAYS here for you. This is a safe place. (((((((((Biggest hugs possible))))))))))))) I feel so proud of you for quitting both. That takes a lot of guts. You are definitely a strong, brave woman who deserves only the best. I think part of the reason we cry so much is because we don't understand how someone we love so much could do the things they did. I was in an emotionally abusive relationship for a long time. We didn't talk about our feelings... crying was not allowed. He told me I was ugly, said I was a heartattack waiting to happen, and that no one will ever love me. I was devastated, couldn't look at myself in the mirror, and thought it was my fault. But it is NOT your fault; you are NOT to blame for the way he treated you. Let yourself weep -- it's part of the healing process. Cheer up sweetie. You will find someone who loves you. You are an amazing person that any guy should be grateful to have.
  4. I like the EOS things as well. I'm a chapstick person more than a lip gloss girl. I do love lipstick though!
  5. Yay, I have a cold! So. Much. Fun. Sigh.

  6. I'm going to die anyway, so I might as well smoke! No one should ever think this way... Now I'm grateful for every minute I get. Being smoke-free is the best!
  7. You have to tell yourself smoking offers you nothing. Smoking will not fix your problems. It will not make stress magically disappear. Commit to your quit. Change your attitude. Say I CAN instead of I CAN'T. When I first quit, I didn't think in a million years I'd make it, but here I am two years later. If I can do it, so can you, but you have to work for it -- you have to hold onto your quit and not let go, no matter what. No more excuses. Everyone here is a testament to successful quitting. There are people here who have smoked for 40+ years. What's stopping you?
  8. Sadly I own a few pairs of these... Ahem. Congrats Sarah! 5 months is fabulous. :) You bring such hilarity and fun to the board. Thanks for being here. :D
  9. Whoa, go you Lisa! Welcome to the 2-year quit club. ;) Congrats and thanks for continuing to pay it forward. :D
  10. Three weeks is HUGE. Phenomenal quit. :) Congrats!
  11. Another hell NOPE day for me! No matter what I'm going through, smoking is NEVER the answer.
  12. 60 minutes at the gym. Did cardio and strength training! Zumba or Just Dance tonight and some stretching. My body's really tight and sore.
  13. Spent another 60 minutes at the gym. 10 minutes on the treadmill. 3 minutes on the step-treadmill (so hard!) 3 minutes on the elliptical. Damn near killed me. I'm going to try for 5 minutes tomorrow. 7 minutes on the exercise bike. About 37 minutes on the strength training machines.
  14. I hope so!
  15. Not smoking is sexy; smoking is not. Tracey and REZ, I love seeing your pictures! You two look like you're having a hell of a time. :D
  16. Oh no Jackie! I was hoping. :( I am so sorry for you loss sweetie. Big hugs.
  17. Thanks Tracey. :)
  18. NOPE for me as well mammy. :)
  19. Thanks Action! I feel great. :) I'm going back tomorrow. Can hardly wait. :D I'm going to do some Zumba tonight as well.

  22. That sounds so delicious Beacon!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
