  2. I asked my husband and he said get a cover. He said it will help a lot and that as far as scratching, just keep the car as clean as you can and be gentle putting the cover on and off. xx Happy for you having a new car! Very exciting. xx
  3. bwahahahaha!
  4. Cooking is a great idea. Anything to keep you busy until the worst of it passes. Are you being treated for your depression? If not and if you are able I recommend talking with your doctor. Being isolated is hard in times like these but there are things you could do to help. Do you knit? Have a hobby?
  5. :( OMG! I am so glad you are ok and that you are back here. What a horrible thing to go through! Please don't hesitate to PM me if there is anything I can do for you.
  6. WHACK! I miss ya. So happy to know that you are enjoying your smokefree life. xx
  7. That's a lot for sure. Imagine trying to fit smoking into your "things to do list". xx Just love it when a man takes care of his lady. If you could find a place in your heart for cats....You'd be perfect. :)

I'm late to the party but I am so proud of you for staying smoke free. A craving is not a command to smoke. Wait it out and it will go. Smokers don't have just one. One was never enough and it never will be. In 20 minutes, maybe sooner, from the time you put it out you'll want another.
  10. I'm all for sending a PM to someone who has not logged in for a bit. Just to reach out and encourage. They'll always be people who sign up and then don't go through with it. Maybe they come back at a later date, maybe they don't. I know in the early days of my quit I would have loved to have had people reach out to me. jwg was the first PM I got. Wish I still had that pm.
  11. Did you get in a fight with Cat woman?
  12. :o :acute:
  13. Well done Paul!
  14. Well done Wendy! Almost a full month of freedom! You are doing wonderfully. Keep it going.
  15. Wonderful news Natalie! Keep it going!!
  16. Congratulations to MQ and all the rest of us who have contributed to this awesome site that has over 100,000.00 posts!!
  17. So good to hear from you! I wonder how you are doing all the time. I'm glad you picked a quit date and that it's not too far off. We both know you can do this Tiff. Here for you every step, just say the word. xoxo
  18. :) Love it.
  19. :( I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It must be so disappointing. It's so common for a couple to quit together and for one not to make it. Sarge could tell you a lot about that. All you can do is encourage your husband to quit. You can't do it for him or anyone. They have to want to. It's hard, but you have to completely separate your quit from his. He failed because he's an addict and he thinks he will only feel normal if he has his fix. Don't you use this as an excuse to smoke yourself. You know better than to believe the lies of the nicodemon. Proud of you for talking this out here. That is how a successful quit happens!! Maybe your husband would benefit from joining as well?
  20. Beth it is so awesome to be able to post on a 3 year anniversary for you! You fought hard and you won! You inspired me when I first quit and you still do by all you do here to help.
  21. Welcome to the QT! You can do this, one day at a time. Time is your friend. Once you put some distance between you and your last cigarette you'll wonder why you didn't do this sooner!. Promise. Please stay close to the board and if you have any questions ask us!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
