  8. I tell myself that nightmares are just my brain removing toxins. Unpleasant but it's got to come out.
  9. NOPE!
  10. Congrats CL.
  11. Well done on getting through the first year. I similarly have had anxiety, depression stuff. It’s good to see someone make it through.
  12. My confession is I thought about posting this somewhere, but I decided not to.
  13. I hear ya Kate! I don't want to smoke very often these days except when I'm stressed. I've learned to see those moments as strengthening my quit rather than bemoaning them as I usually would. Congrats.
  14. Todays video discusses an important social topic. ?
  15. This has been a hoot but I gotta go. Enjoy your friendly chat you’lol.
  16. Gordon what your going through is just withdrawal and your body adjusting. It just takes time to recover. It’s not about your coping ability. Your body/brain needs to recover. It takes time.
  17. I tell myself that everytime I gave a bad day quitting, I’ve moved forward in my quit. This bad day will just be a memory and I will have a non-smoking body without any more desire to smoke. Your bad days are your friend even though you don’t realise it.
  18. Gee Jo so sorry to hear about the job. I know the family stuff is really upsetting too but I tend to think the family stuff is repairable? I might be wrong but I’m trying to give you some hope. You also dont don’t need the lecture that smoking won’t fix things but I do know time usually does. I reckon you’re probably pretty employable. I mean if you didn’t swear and all. (I’m joking please don’t come down on me, I’m just trying to make you smile). Hang in in there anyway and post when you need to. Im sorry to hear this sh&$t is going on for you early in your quit.
  19. Hope you're feeling better Jo. I was pretty grumpy when first quitting (still am). I was actually glad I did not have any children around at those times. I had to distance myself from things I found hard to deal with.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
