  1. Glad you made it here star.
  2. Glad you made it here Mollie.
  3. Nice to meet you Lilly. Keep us posted on how you are going.
  4. Hi Max, congrats on your quit. Nice to meet you.
  5. OMG Jillar that was so funny!
  6. Welcome Steve. I relapsed quite a lot too. The last time I quit (over 4 months ago) I had another intense withdrawal and I said to myself, I am never doing this to myself again. The constant withdrawal and then smoking again meant my body and brain was out of kilter for much longer than it needed to be.
  7. All I know is that admin said that it could die at any time. There appeared to be issues with the owners, i.e. not being easily contactable, whether the domain etc was paid for. this is what I gathered from posts last time it went offline. It is a shame in that it had such a rich history and was a thriving community at different points in time.
  8. Hi Gabes, welcome.
  9. Thanks for the bump. Do I resent nicotine addiction. Yes. I do resent that it is legal and many people profited from my addiction (knowingly profited). I have an illness now and think that smoking has done some damage to my body. I read somewhere that nicotine addiction is like giving a kid a loaded gun at 13 that goes off in their 50's. This statement was said many years before I even started to smoke. They knew what they were doing the tobacco companies and they should have been stopped. Drug dealers, murderers with blood on their hands.
  10. Hmm I saw this while eating breakfast! This reminded me of this song.
  11. Nice to see you here Barry congrats on finding the place.
  12. Welcome and congrats for finding us here. I miss QSMB too but consider myself lucky to at least have this place.
  13. Welcome Grund. Glad you found the place. It is a shame QSMB seemed to go down without warning so some people did not know to come here.
  14. Congrats Lin. I’m so happy for you. It’s nice to see such a good person succeed!
  15. There's no need to keep on with this. We were moving on. And also you don't know me. Let let it be because there's people here who just want to quit smoking. Thanks. All the best with your quit.
  16. Ok, I'm sorry about that. I know what those moments can be like. And things don't always come across well when they are written. Take good care. Apologies again.
  17. I guess I can see that you interpreted that I had an issue with the way you spoke, but I actually don't. I just don't think it's actually "Aussie accent like". It's uniquely you so this was what I was trying to say. No need to take offence and I honestly hope you don't ban me from writing on your posts. Cheers :)
  18. That's one person. I live in Sydney and have met thousands. I've also travelled to many country areas also. I've spent over 46 years in this country so comparing this to one person doesn't compete. We were also taught in school how to read and write correctly in English. Education is free in Australia until you get to university. Also saying "f&#ck" in every second sentence isn't Australian either. It's not an Aussie accent. An accent in the sound, not what is written.
  19. Thanks Boo.
  20. It's not an Aussie accent. No-one I know talks like that. I hope you feel better soon.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
