  1. Oh you Nosy-Nellie LOL On my lap-top I can hover my mouse over the persons name and see that they are on the board and it shows what topic they are looking at as well - not that I particularly care. It just shows it anyway. Can't believe it's still going? 2 Pages now? Thought it would be a one post thread the gone - lol.

  4. My love from Canada D! So sorry both of you are going through this. Wish we could do more to assist in some way. If there were time travel, you'd be surrounded by kind, giving souls Keep us updated please and take good care of yourself too.
  5. Great Job Rory! 6 months is something to be proud of! I know it hasn't been easy for you but keep your head down and power through to freedom. There's no going back after a half a year Congrats and be sure to reward yourself with something special to mark this milestone! Just like the string count on your guitar ..... You Got 6 Now
  6. Holy Cow M5!! I didn't realize it was 6 months all ready You have done such a great jog reaching this half way mark to that magical 1st year quit. You must be very proud and rightfully so. I remember well you and "O" arriving with a day or so of each other. You put your head down and NOPED your way to 6 months smoke free. Great Job. You showed that Nicodemon!
  7. Oh, I was just looking at the bottom of the main page and saw everyone except me was logged off. Not sure how accurate that is though. I was the first time I had seen I was the only name there with a green icon indicating I was currently active on the forum.
  8. Aye, aye Captain! My crew is assembled and ready to start cleaning up.
  9. We have such a diverse population here from all over the globe and so I'm wondering at this date July 2nd ; what time does it get dark where you live? I mean dark - not just sundown or twilight but a dark sky. Where I am it doesn't get dark for long this time of year. Maybe around 10:30 PM then it starts getting light at around 3:30 AM. The benefits is that as you are laying in bed half asleep at 3:30 AM, you can hear birds chirping constantly. You just don't hear that any other time of year Some of the places I have done field work in it doesn't even get dark at all in late June. The sun dips just below the horizon then .... right back up ? I'm just curious as to what others experience. I know in the southern hemisphere (Jo & GITW) it will be the least amount of daylight this time of year but that's fine. It's just the reverse of North America.
  10. ^^^^ Thanks D! This is a great post and tells it like it is. Deal with what ever issues you may face in life without smoking. If you go back to smoking, you're just avoiding the issues you are facing. How is that helping you? Hugs and support to GITW and Jo who are both facing significant health issues during their quits. Huge respect to both
  11. Yes M5! You are doing great work that will only reward you for years to come. It was at about this point in my own quit that I just knew I had this addiction beat Carry On Martian5!
  12. OK so, what's the score now anyway - Pitter Patter, Let's Get At Her ?
  13. Roz - It's been a problem ever since the new software was implemented. There seems to be a delay in posting the entry therefore when several people are playing, it gets out of whack pretty quickly. Or, maybe it's just because people get notified right away when someone posts on the thread - who knows? It's frustrating though. I'm here but my head is reeling LOL
  14. This is crazy ..... I'm out. -????

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
