@Boo so glad you are safe.  It looked so bad down there.  Thanks for doing what we all would like to do.  I got you covered Boo.  I am praying for you, Sugarbritches and Maddie.

I spent most of the last couple of days helping my parents clean up storm damage on the family farm.  We had tornadoes and high winds sweep through the area on Easter night.  Their house wasn't damaged but a tree did fall across one of the barns and another tree fell across the driveway.  They're both safe but a little rattled.  The worst of the storms passed to the south of where I live now, so Sugar Britches and the little bundle of joy are safe and sound.

Back in January, there was talk of World War III kicking off.  Then the global pandemic knocked that out of the headlines.  And now...natural disasters!

Hey current year, take two of these and go f**k yourself!

I watched that storm go through Boo country, Nancy country, possibly Johnny5 and Paul country.

the wind was very weird here at the start of that system

but, it went straight to y'all.  glad you are ok.

I am concerned about hurricane season starting in June...wtf will happen with the country in such an uproar with the virus.

a few natural disasters on top of the mix...no telling.  please keep yourselves as safe as you can and keep your heads together.  We'll all  be ok then.

Sometimes you just need a good laugh in tough times!

I'm glad everyone is safe and that your parents have you helping them out, Boo.  You're a good guy.

Lock-down for NOLA extended for another 30 days

21 new cases since yesterday, now 334 in our county 😞

And that's only of the less than 1% of people tested.  Tell your husband to keep his azz inside and the neighbors outside.

Sad but clearly for the best.  Yours was set to expire earlier than most.  Ours now goes to April 26 and I can't imagine it won't be extended again.

I am relieved that our mayor and governor have been as ahead of the curve as they have been.  Mardi Gras was a grave error but, all were kept in the dark.

Our Mayor, Mike Dewine, has been way ahead of everyone else.  He has done a great job.  We were one of the first areas to close things.  Mardi Gras was probably an event that spread things but I would think a lot of that was people visiting and taking it home with them.

Our Governor has extended our NY PAUSE order ("Policies Assure Uniform Safety for Everyone") until May 15th. As of 8 pm tonight, all must wear a mask or face covering of some type when out in public or using mass transit (including Uber or Lyft rides).

Cuomo, Dewine, and Edwards are doing a fantastic job, especially with the resources they have.  We desperately need more leaders like them.

All is well in upstate New York even though we have been in the house for 31 days now. Trying to get  by day to day by cleaning, reading , the occasional video game, connecting with folks on this site and maybe learning to platy the guitar. I'm hoping for the weather to break so I can do some outdoor work. Plus, 13 days and no cigarettes so far.

Congratulations on 13 days smoke free.  Celebrate each early milestone.

Learning new stuff in the early stages of a quit, and also during a quarantine, is a great and positive way to pass the time.  Good luck with learning the guitar.  I think that is an excellent idea.

Bit shitty with my government...just a heads up, I access the QT from me mobile, chances are if I suddenly go way quiet I've turfed me mobile...why? Cos my federal government wants us all to download the tracking app...and if not enough of us don't do it they will be making to compulsory for all phones to have it...I live in frickin Australia, not China or North Korea...I'll be telling them where they can stick their mobile if it comes to that.

@Boo...glad you n yours are safe from the storms, made the news down here and looked horrendous.

2020....why can't we just reboot the frickin year....down here it's been fires (natural disaster)...floods (natural disaster)....covid 19 (everything disaster)
