  1. Ohhh. I wish we could save them all.
  2. I would but I only have an itouch and an ipad. No phone, so no wifi outside my house usually, so I don't use a lotta apps. Then again...the way you work out, I'd be light years behind you.
  3. Sugar free hot tamale gum helped me. But I still have a really bad sweet tooth. It's a problem. Hang tough sweetie, dealing with a sweet tooth is way better than smoking. :)
  4. Hiya Jimmy! :bye:
  5. Sometimes it's easy to get down, but like my dearly departed father told me about tough times, "just keep your eyes on the prize." Be kind to yourself, vent here if you need to! Exercise and cookies both helped me a lot. It took me quite a while to not be looking for 'substitutions.' Then that issue just slowly disappeared too. But that is ok, so long as we are not smoking! Congrats on a lovely quit.
  6. I will respond more later, but all of it is so temporary! If you can quit smoking, you can do anything, for real. Pat yourself on the back for having the courage and the strength to take your life back.
  7. Welcome our newest member Pusscat! Have you quit yet, or thinking about it still? Please say hello and let us know a little about your quit. We are here to help! I'm excited for another person getting free from smoking :)
  8. Hahaha Tracey, too funny. It makes me happy when DD reads books I have read, and then we can dish. *cough* Dreg City series is knocking my socks off currently *cough*
  9. Yesss! You know what they say, no one ever regretted quitting. I love this post. Hope and happiness and strength.
  10. My idea of 'gourmet coffee' is Folgers Breakfast Blend. True story.

When out in the back-woods, Sarge likes the crappy generic grocery-store brand instant mud. It's hella good on a morning of little sleep after schlepping 60 pounds on your back for 23 miles of trail through terrain. Funny how that tastes like shite at home, though.

I drink folgers when I can afford it, and anything when I am desperate. Except 'shine. Sarge now you are making me want to hike. Which is something I would have never thought when I was a smoker.

  11. What kind of dog?
  12. Wonderful! Never had a doubt. You are just awesome burrito!
  13. I couldn't be happier for you Julie! Good to see you.
  14. Evening jimmy :)
  15. Eeek. That doesn't sound fun.
  16. It seems like anytime we try and grow something, the squirrels, rabbits, or voles devour
  17. Lmao!
  18. Yay! Keep up the good work.
  19. Gorgeous! Got room for one more?
  20. I want your garden. All my extra bucks from not smoking seem to go towards buying produce.

  22. Coconut water, $4.50 a throw, and tastes like water someone left their sweat socks in overnight. Blech!!! :bad:

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
