  1. Oh Lisa! Thinking of you and your pooch. I can never watch the vids on that I love dogs website. Uncontrollable crying for hours. Keep us posted on the progress please. Hugs!!
  2. I love this thread :)
  3. Making excel spreadsheets.
  4. Voicemail. I hate voicemail to the point I disconnected my personal cell. Just have the work one now, but luckily it's used mostly for email. Voicemail is very distressing to me. Is there a name for that phobia?
  5. Congrats Christa! I never have a doubt. How will you celebrate?
  6. Ali! Nice to see you, so glad to hear you are doing well :) What was some advice you found particularly helpful when you were quitting?
  7. Woo hoooo! What a great milestone and accomplishment. Proud of you :)
  8. When I first quit Gabby, I kept hearing people say, oh it gets easier. I was like srsly? When? i thought there was no way, and it was just lip service. But it really and truly does. It won't happen overnight for most of us, bc we smoked for so long, but it will happen. For my entire life I identified myself - who I was - as a smoker. There are no words to express how great is is to leave that behind. I really, really, don't ever miss it anymore. It will cross my mind from time to time, but not anything uncomfortable, more like, 'hmmm I used to smoke in situations like this.' Give it time, and be forgiving of yourself, change doesn't usually happen overnight. But you should be so HAPPY with yourself you are making positive changes. It's likely the most important thing you will ever do for your health. I think you are doing great! It doesn't have to be all peaches and cream!
  9. Jackie, my dear, you are awesome!
  10. You guys are crack ups!
  11. Hmmm my invite must have gotten lost in the mail. Strange, that. ;-)
  12. Congrats! 8 weeks is great!
  13. Oh yes, the smell of tanning lotion. Now it's just fragrance free SPF 110
  14. I thought Bakon bought a couple dozen eggs..
  15. It was a really fun time. But my running partner wasn't really a runner, so we walked about half of it. So it was not difficult at all. But still fun.
  16. Has anyone used coconut oil for cooking? Not sure how that would taste, but for swishing (pulling) it is not that yummy.
  17. 7 months:). Great job pretty Melody!
  18. Great job Gabby! You are fighting the good fight and you are really doing it.
  19. Sooo adorable!
  20. You ever tried that coconut oil pulling? I did it like every day for about 2 months...now I do it about 2-3 times/week at 20 min a throw. It's not very fun at all, but it does seem to help with teeth sensitivity and helps keep them whiter (I am only supposed to use pronamel toothpaste and no whiteners b/c I used to have such sensitive teeth, and as I drink a ton of coffee it is good to have whitening options.)
  21. Love this. I second that !
  22. Lynn, I am so happy for you! You and Colleen have been such inspirations to me along the way, and I am so glad for the chance to know you guys. 1 day to go, you got this! :ok:
  23. I just tried it, and I got those exact same results. Not that I didn't believe you or anything.... :read:
  24. Yes if it's one of your photos, it must be from photobucket or something w/a URL. If it's an image online, you have to copy the image's URL and put it in that little box under and to the left of the smiley on the tool bar. I think it's a tree icon on the box, but not 100% sure.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
