  1. When I find myself asking, "Why did I do it?"
  2. I remember you were on very shaky ground in the beginning Mee. I wasn't at all sure you would make it. But with each passing day you grew a little stronger and more confident. Now look at you....2 years! That should serve as a real inspiration to those just starting (or about to start) this journey. Congrats on your big day!
  3. Linda, the things we desire most in life all come with some sort of struggle or challenge at the onset. Eventually the struggle fades away and we're left holding the well deserved prize. Keep climbing!
  4. nope
  5. Jillar to the rescue!
  6. Make it count Steven. Your life is at stake here.
  7. That's kinda like comparing an inmate's level of incarceration. Sure, being in the general population is better than solitary confinement. But it's only when you walk out of the prison that you're truly free. Hope you make this your permanent quit Warbelian.
  8. Congratulations Mac! 4 months is amazing. Keep building that beautiful quit.
  9. In honor of your smashing 3 years, the QuitTrain will temporarily brandish a new name: Congrats WFM!
  10. I rarely get sick since I quit almost 5 years ago. With one significant exception. I got COVID in early March. I had a raging headache for 2 weeks and a fever and body aches for about 5 days. But the thing I feared the most (severe respiratory infection) never materialized. I am convinced that quitting smoking and adopting a healthier lifestyle had a positive impact on my outcome. If I had still been a smoker, I’m confident the results would have been much worse. There’s no question In my mind that quitting smoking will improve your health and your ability to recover if you do happen to get sick.

  19. nope
  20. Tell us one thing you couldn't do as a smoker that you're now able to do. Me: Hiking/Backpacking. Will be heading off on a 9 day backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in a few weeks. Here's a pic along the trail. Humphrey's Basin
  21. Keep up the good work Steven! Each and every day is a victory.
  22. That is a huge accomplishment Steven. Great job!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
