  7. Sorry Mick. Some of our members use quite the tawdry language because they're so passionate about quitting. Ooops! I said "members". Moderators, please move this to the "Curse Thread". But seriously, good job Mick. Keep that great quit going.
  8. Your post makes me think back on how impatient I was for life to return to "normal" when I first quit. I had a friend at work who quit 2 years before I did. Nearly every day I would go to his office and ask, "When are these cravings going to disappear? When will I go a whole day without even thinking about a cigarette?" I followed this routine for months with the thought that surely I should be over it by now. The truth is that it takes a long time for your body and mind to adapt to a new life without the thousands of harmful and addictive chemicals you've been feeding it for years (maybe even decades?). It takes a lot of faith and determination, but eventually you will get to that new normal. And I really want to emphasis this part: IT IS SO WORTH ANY AMOUNT OF TIME AND AGGRAVATION TO ACHIEVE FREEDOM. Hang in there. You can do it Linda.

  11. Unloading my backpack from a nine day hike in the Sierra Nevada. Just amazed by the beauty. Took a nice dip in this spot to reinvigorate during a long and tough ascent. It was so nice to get away from coronavirus, social unrest, and political warfare.

  18. People generally feel that the method they used is the best way. But it's important to remember that all roads lead to Rome. Just get to Rome Linda....whatever way you can.

    Plasma Therapy

    Thanks DD. Just did my second donation in the last week. 8 plasma donations total. It does seem to be a fairly effective therapeutic from what I'm told. Hopefully there'll be an accessible and safe vaccine soon since a large portion of the population refuses to follow simple and proven prevention measures.

  25. I remember you were on very shaky ground in the beginning Mee. I wasn't at all sure you would make it. But with each passing day you grew a little stronger and more confident. Now look at you....2 years! That should serve as a real inspiration to those just starting (or about to start) this journey. Congrats on your big day!
