  1. Nope.

  4. I've been seeing chiropractors for years for my back. The most recent one was my hip and the only thing that helps it are stretches. If I do them at least once per day, I'm good but unfortunately, I rarely do. They require little effort and just time. I need to get into a routine and do them in them 3x's per day like I'm supposed to. There are some that he showed me which I can do at work without laying on the floor looking like a weirdo. :) Doing heavy work with my hands is what starts the whole thing with my wrists. I can type forever with no issues but if I've done any kind of heavy work with my hands (using big pipe wrenches and other things at work) that's when my hands go numb typing etc. Like right now typing I'm fine. But doing what I have to do today at work, they'll no doubt be numb and be waking me up all night.
  5. I had to up it to 250 per day because people were running out. It may even be up to 500, can't remember. The default was like 25 but the members here are a really happy group and like a lot of stuff. lol!!!!
  6. I assume your stylist is a woman? If so, it's about control. :yahoo:
  7. How many of those 7 had a support group for quitting? It's makes a difference. Besides, I'm not convinced that those numbers are true. NRT companies want you to believe that so you buy their product. Big tobacco wants you to believe it so you throw in the towel and buy their death. I don't believe those numbers are accurate but even if they are, it has nothing to do with your quit. You've quit, you have a great support group and you know the truth about this addiction. Grind this shit out.
  8. For those of you who have your personal settings to receive email notifications for forums or threads you follow, private messages etc., are you getting them as you normally have in the past?
  9. Happy Birthday, Beth!!! So glad you're here on the train. :)
  10. Good Morning! What are nummers?
  11. It was all of you. Every one of you. All I did was pave the road and you all drove on it and the rest is history! Has it been a year already? I have been so busy that I didn't even realize it. One year. AWESOME!!!!! This is by far the most accepting, non-confrontational, happy, fun, informative and open minded place I've ever belonged to. They say there is always some good out of bad. Smoking was bad but quitting smoking led me to all of you which is the good. I don't have to look far at all to find the good. In fact, I don't have to look at all. All I have to do is reach my arm out and somebody is always there to grab it. The seasoned members who go way back and the newbies just joining, you're all part of the same family. 1 year or 1 day, you're one of us and we have your back. Always. (not counting Ava. I reached my arm out one time and she stuck her massively huge wad of chewing gum in my hand)
  12. Happy Birthday to The Queen! NOPE!!!!

  16. My first name is Maryland, middle name is Bernard and my last name is Quitter. I also happen to live in Maryland but was born in Ohio. I was named after my great, great, great uncle. People call me MQ for short. Since I was a kid people thought I had a cool name but it's even cooler now since I quit smoking. :)
  17. Quitting Smoking & Mental Health This video discusses how most people experience minor emotional reactions when first quitting, but also how people with pre-existing mental health issues may need physician assistance in dealing with problems that seem to be exacerbated after quitting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ysFk0-pQ3A&list=PL76365B6CE2DA076B Related article: Depression: A normal reaction or a real organic depressive effect: http://www.ffn.yuku.com/topic/12459 Related videos: The emotional stages of loss: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vk1ECG... 18. I don't know how or when (nor do I want to) but I know I won't die a smoker. I won't be found in the laying on the floor in the garage with a burned out cigarette by my side. They say that smoking kills 50% of smokers. We quit. Odds are we're going to live a helluva a lot longer had we never quit. Either way, it's all about living each minute to the fullest and you can't do that chained to a cigarette. Besides, I don't plan on ever dying. I think I'll just live in good health forever. :)

    Sigh. . .

Big change from the farm. Hang in there and stay strong.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
